seven vices case 3 trial, day 1 ♫ saturday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 6PM, the trial will adjourn. Everyone will be escorted back to the hotel by Miata, after which everyone is allowed to head to either the kitchen to get dinner, or to their rooms. 5:15PM-6PM: Dinner
6PM-6:15PM: Went to Lobby, spoke with Sadie.
6:15PM-9PM: Running laps around the hotel.
9PM: Went back to room. Poland stayed over. Prepared for bed.
~10PM-6AM: Slept
6AM-6:30AM: Morning routine. Noticed the motive was no longer in effect.
6:30AM: Began searching the town.

Buddy

8pm: Was at the bonfire. Faize sat down with me to talk until I left.
9pm: Went to my room and got the clothes Undyne and Clover chucked glitter on to try and wash them for like the third time. STILL NOT OFF EVEN THOUGH THEY TOLD ME IT WOULDN'T BE ON FOREVER.
10pm: Stopped by the kitchen to get water and went to my room with it + my clothes.
11pm: Drew pictures until I got tired. Went to bed after.
7:30am: Woke up.
Close to 8am: Went to the general store. Break met me there. Walked back to the hotel and heard the announcement.

I spent most if not all of Thursday in my room, assuming the trend of murders would continue on that night. Much of my day was unfortunately spent handwashing my cloak to rid of the wretched little specks of color that still remain. To my knowledge, no one can corroborate my story, as I met with and spoke to no one Thursday.

Friday, I chatted with Sadie at the pool.

[ Most every letter is written very neatly in print, as if a lot of care went into each word. Every once in a while a letter or word will seem hesitant or unsure, as if the writer stopped to think or wasn't sure how to write the next word. ]

3PM: Had a late lunch! More fish, they're one of my favorite meals. The only thing I like more than them is anything Oscar makes.
4-6PM: Somewhere around here I went outside to stretch my legs. I'm not sure what time it was exactly but I came back around 6.
8 or 8:30PM: Ate dinner!
9 or 10PM: Went to the laundry room and met Lucy. It was fun!
10:30PM-??:??AM: Went outside to stretch my legs again. I don't know when I came back, I wasn't looking for clocks.
4AM: Went to bed.
8AM: Woke up.

Findings

Exhibit A - Oxycodone

[A 3/4 full bottle of oxycodone pills, bright blue, along with a few that are out of the bottle and the remains of one crushed pill.]

Found the loose pills on the floor of the clinic, in one of the offices. Pills matched up to this bottle, which is emptier than it should be even accounting for the pills on the floor. Oxycodone is a painkiller, and overdosing can result in severe symptoms such as drowsiness, loss of consciousness, and decreased awareness.

Exhibit B - Knife

Found in the kitchen knife rack. The specks of blood are smudged - it looks like someone might have tried to wipe them off.

Exhibit C - Cruxis Crystal pieces

When Faize and I were investigating the bodies, Zelos bore scratch marks on his collar bone and shoulders, while Youko had blood and skin beneath her fingernails. We believe they may have fought prior to their deaths.

Bodies

Behind a discrete folding screen, in the room behind the altar, Youko's and Zelo's bodies have been laid out two simple white tables. Their bodies are covered with white sheets, but the sheets can be removed. Other than the position and the sheet (and uh, cleaning up a bit of the surrounding viscera for sanitation's sake), the bodies have not been changed from how they were found.

Near the bodies are four black and white photographs of the scene as it was when the body discovery chimes rang at 9:00AM yesterday morning. The photographs are close ups - they portray Youko's and Zelos's bodies, but no more of the scene than is necessary to do so. Still, if you want to check their positions, it makes it fairly easy.

[Well she didn't really want to have to poke around the bodies, but nonetheless here she is, plus one disgusting piece of meat that Morrigan in her dog form took a large bite out of and clawed up for good measure too.

She's going to try to compare the claw and bite marks as best she can considering the circumstances, grimly but certainly.]

[ Miata sits in one of the pews in the very back of the church, silent but keeping an eye on everyone. Seems she's gotten tired of crossword puzzles and swapped them out for a book of sudoku puzzles instead. ]

While the evisceration wounds and what caused them are by no means unimportant, there are other issues Alisha and I discovered with the bodies that I feel need to be discussed. As the autopsy report states, Zelo's shoulders and collarbone were scratched, and skin and blood were found under Youko's fingernails. I may not have been able to tell what was used to rip the victims open, but I was able to confirm that Zelos was scratched by nails, not claws. [Hooray for simple comparisons.] Which would seem to indicate that our two victims fought one another at some point before their deaths.

Additionally, both victims had dilated pupils. The only explanation I can think of is drugs of some kind, and given what Lithuania found I believe that is a safe assumption to make. Unless, of course, that's not actually a side effect of oxycodone.

In any event, these findings open up a number of possibilities that we would do well to start sifting through now. The sooner we can determine exactly what happened in the school, the better off we'll be when it comes to finding the culprit.

The struggle did not seem to begin in the school house. I believe this due to the scattered remains of the Cruxis Crystal just outside of the hotel.
