week 3 - trial; day 1

seven vices case 3 trial, day 1 ♫ saturday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 6PM, the trial will adjourn. Everyone will be escorted back to the hotel by Miata, after which everyone is allowed to head to either the kitchen to get dinner, or to their rooms. Attempting to wander off into the other areas of the hotel will trigger the static alarms in everyone's heads/televisions. >Discuss? victims   suspects      cast setting rulebook

( Yes, let's not mess up anyone'e rooms. Alisha, Bill, and Faize were so polite when they searched his room, he wants to return the favor where ever he can.

If there's nothing immediately noticably wrong, Urashima will leave Roxy to the beds and go to search Ranulf's closet! )

[ And Alisha will check out his drawers, both of his dresser and the night table. Anything exciting to be found? ]

[ There is, in fact, something immediately noticeably wrong! The furniture in Ranulf's room has been moved around, altering the layout. One of the beds has been placed horizontally beside the other. This makes it harder to reach the corner where the bed should have been. Plus the sheets have been ripped off of the mattresses. There's nothing to look at, really, and there's certainly no kitty porn to be found!

Shame on you, Roxy. Shame!!!

As for the closet... The closet is practically empty. There are metal hangers on the ground in the closet and they're just... sitting there. Doing nothing special.

The dresser is in a similar condition: mostly empty, save for a lump of lint Ranulf swiped from the laundry room. If Lucy were here, she might be able to tell everyone that the lump looks bigger than before. Alas! The night table has been moved to another corner of the room (near the bathroom) and contains a short, misshapen tree branch.

P.S. there's a no room service note on the door. ]

I think my middle name might be Indecent at this point.

[ After confirming no dead bodies in Ranulf's beds, she'll head for the bathroom. Does he use a litter box? The world needs to know. ]

( Why is his closet so empty? It's baffling to Urashima who got a nice closet of nice, ordinary clothes?? )

... There's not a lot here.

( He'll put the hangers back up on the rack nice and neat for Ranulf and check out the safe that Kia totally reminded me we have last week.

Alisha's just... sighing, pulling out the tree branch like... okay, Ranulf, interesting choice of drawer contents? ]

There isn't much here, either.

[ No litter box in the bathroom! Bullet dodged, tbqh. What Roxy does find in there are two pieces of the missing clothes from the closet. They're hung on the back of the door. If she touches them, they're completely dry but they smell surprisingly like the soap the hotel provides. Has someone been doing laundry in the bathroom? Maybe.

There's nothing else out of places in the room, not unless you think green glitter is unusual. If Roxy does, she can find some of it at the bottom of the tub. The tub itself is dry while the sink looks just a touch damp.

Meanwhile Urashima will find A CHEWED ON FOOT??? Nah, there's only one thing inside of the safe. It's a green headband that has been carefully folded (apparently you can fold headbands) and placed in the middle of the safe.

Alisha knows she's jealous of his collection, ok. Just wait and see, maybe you'll find some marbles somewhere!

If anyone cares enough to look at the Bed Corner, the missing sheets are placed over what looks like a large lump. ]

... I think he's been doing his laundry in the tub.

[ Someone help this poor cat man. She isn't surprised by the glitter, glittergate was truly the highlight of this week.

Someone else can go find the dead body that is probably in the bed corner. ]

( Urashima will take out the headband only to turn it over and see what it is. He's careful, consideirng it's in the safe so it must be important to Ranulf. Unless there's BLOOD OR A WRITTEN CONFESSION sewn into it, he'll just put it back exactly how he found it. )

Hm? ( Doing laundry in the tub? That doesn't sound weird at all to Urashima, tbh. ) Maybe he doesn't know how to do laundry. ( He says casually. ) I don't.

( Urashima uses the room service feature......... Standing up, he'll look around the room, )

Where're his blankets?

Well, his sheets are over here...

[ And she's actually going to reach for them to place them somewhere better. Off the lump you go, sheets! ]

[ There's nothing but Ike's sweat on the headband, Urashima. Sorry! At least the smell has faded by now. No one deserves the suffering that is sniffing Ike's sweat.

Oh. Oh no, Alisha... Alisha you should have taken a better look at those sheets first. Once the sheets are off, the green glitter clinging to the sheets is freed. She probably didn't tug the sheets hard enough for the glitter to fly everywhere but it is entirely possible that some of it managed to get on her anyway.

Please enjoy your new life as the victim of a glitter disaster, Alisha. Hope you like the color green!

Once the glitter settles wherever the fuck it wants, the rest of missing clothes are revealed! Shock, gasp, awe, the only victim here is Alisha! The clothes are piled up to make a comfy, cozy, spot fit for catnaps. ]
