week 3 - trial; day 1

seven vices case 3 trial, day 1 ♫ saturday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 6PM, the trial will adjourn. Everyone will be escorted back to the hotel by Miata, after which everyone is allowed to head to either the kitchen to get dinner, or to their rooms. Attempting to wander off into the other areas of the hotel will trigger the static alarms in everyone's heads/televisions. >Discuss? victims   suspects      cast setting rulebook

Since the last two trials had the sins involved in regards to who ended up being the culprit, does anybody want to go over that first before we get into the more disgusting, gory shit? Lithuania's Greed, Morrigan's Wrath, Ranulf and Buddy are Gluttony and Sadie Swenson is Sloth.

OK, like, obviously I wouldn't do it because this is all way too much work. But apparently they were eaten or something? Bitten? Super gluttony, obvi.

When you compare it to the motive none of them really match up like in the first trial. I don't know who would be affected most by sadness.

[Although if you look at the actual crime. Bite marks...]

I was wondering if perhaps it was an expression of sloth, since I at least felt some apathy earlier in the week as well but...I'm not so sure. We have only one sloth suspect and as Sadie pointed out, the teeth marks bring gluttony to mind.

I think that's the better way to approach it. Although judging each other over sins someone else assigned doesn't seem like the best way.

Yeah, so it might not be comparing it to the motive like the first trial but rather... similar to how the second trial ended up. Since Mikazuki was the virtue of "patience".

I mean by the description alone it looks like someone was thirsty for blood. Or hungry.
Kind of reminds me of vampires.

We would have to ask them if they are really virtues instead... [Also Dracula hasn't been written yet for her and everything has to be difficult. She just cants her head to the side, she sound so obviously confused.] Did someone here claim to be a vampire?

I don't know about for motive, but I'd say Wrath or Gluttony would be maybe more likely to... IDK, disembowel someone. Maybe?

I really... don't want to proceed under the assumption that Gluttony could be responsible for that kind... the way the bodies looked. Wrath, definitely, but Gluttony...?
