week 3 - trial; day 1

seven vices case 3 trial, day 1 ♫ saturday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 6PM, the trial will adjourn. Everyone will be escorted back to the hotel by Miata, after which everyone is allowed to head to either the kitchen to get dinner, or to their rooms. [ He can't deny the potential usefulness, he's just surprised it's coming up again. Are they going to start stripping down every suspect?

Poor future suspects. He knows how some beorc value their modesty. Him though? Well he is the guy who just transformed into a cat in front of people and had his clothes magically disappear, so. ] All right, I can do that. Should I wait my turn to go behind the curtain or should I strip here?

I don't mind either way. If it'll make everyone else more comfortable, I can do it in private. But I'm not shy, I don't really care who looks me over.

Just pick whoever's most convenient.

[ Besides, if the reason they're separated by gender has to do with attraction, he figures these divisions are half pointless. Kyza was a dude and interested in him, and there are two girls who are married here. ]

[Shrugging!] You might as well take it off here to save time, I dunno why anyone would be uncomfortable about it.

[ He takes a look around and is ever-so-skeptical. He remembers at least one person freaked out at Urashima last trial so he is under the impression he is being 100% led astray. At the same time, it's not like he has to get naked. ] Hm. All right, if you say it's all right I'll believe you.

[ The lights dim, the music starts, and Ranulf lowers his hands to his shirt. Work it, baby!!

Yeah, only that last part happens. Unless someone stops him, he's going to undress. There are no images of nude Ranulf but have a shot of his build for reference! ]

[Alas, Undyne is not affected at all by the beef on display except to compare it to her own to see whose is better. She also starts checking him over for wounds while she's at it.]

[ Are people really okay with this??? Amazing. Maybe they figure it's not any different than seeing him normally because his arms are always exposed.

Anyway, nothing to see on him! There aren't even scars on him despite saying he's been in more than one war. Either he's very durable or he's a liar.

Will someone stop him from taking off his pants?? Let's find out! ]

[She has no idea why people are so concerned about this but SURE WHY NOT. Heading over to where the screen is!]

Okay, finish taking off your pants now! [Boy, this sure would sound wrong under any other circumstances...]

[ Sure would. Good thing Undyne has a girlfriend and Ranulf has a not!boyfriend.

Anyway he obediently heads behind the screen (cats? obedient? plz) and takes off his pants.

To save some time, there's absolutely nothing that would interest Undyne on his lower half. No scars, no scratches, nothing branded into his skin saying "RANULF DID IT." He's as clean as a whistle and as smooth as a baby!

His undies are a bit old fashioned though, if Undyne cares about underwear fashion for... some... reason? ]

...which means that we're right back where we started! UGH I HATE THIS TRIAL!!
