week 9 - trial; day 1

seven vices case 9 trial, day 1 ♫ friday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 6PM, the trial will adjourn. Everyone will be escorted back to the hotel by Miata, after which everyone is allowed to head to either the kitchen to get dinner, or to their rooms. Cause of Death - Appears to be either decapitation or bisection

Body Discovery - Approximately 4:45PM

Time of Death - Estimated between 4:30PM and 4:45PM

Condition of Body - Decapitated and bisected. Torso crucified with knives and victim's own sword.

Condition of Scene - Torso found crucified on a tree near schoolhouse. Waist and legs found on park's teeter-totter near Faize Sheifa Beleth (unconscious). Head found deep within the void.

7am ish - made pancakes
7:15am ish - remade pancakes cause i fucked up the first ones
7:30am - ate the pancakes
8am - took a nap do not judge me ok
10am - got back up, decided to do laundry like a mature piece of shit
11am - finished laundry left my shit in the dryer for a while
11:30am - put away the laundry. i hung that shit up like a PRO go look, would a murderer do their laundry before murdering i do not fucking THINK so
12pm - remembered lunch is a thing that people do but just drank some grape juice and called it good shit
1pm - worked on my wizardfic
2pm - went to the clothes shop got a new coat finally
3pm - changed my mind and put that coat back in the shop b/c it wasnt cute enough tbqh
4pm - spent some time thinking about which chips to eat for a ""real"" lunch. or snack, i guess? w/e. decided on some plain old tater chips, as u do. but then i was like wait, wouldnt wavy cut be tastier? shit i dunno but i was deeply considering chips until the dead announcement went off cause SOMEONE couldnt keep their murderous tendencies in their pants

Wednesday:
~5-6:30p: Spent time with Bill and Jerry, returned to my room afterwards.
~7:00p-onward: Hajime came over, we talked for a while and he ended up spending the night.

Thursday:
6:30a: Woke up, got ready for the day
7:00~8:15a: Hajime woke up, got dressed, and then we ate breakfast together
~8:15-9:45a: Spent time in the record shop
~9:45-11:00a: Went for a walk
~11:00a-12:00p: Helped Inaba with Miku AI
12:20p: Ate lunch
1:00-4:00p: Trained with Hajime behind the chapel

After that, I'm afraid I don't know exactly what happened. Hajime assures me that he left at around 4:00, as usual, while I stayed to continue my training a little while longer on my own. Usually I head back some time between 4:30 and 4:45 but clearly that is not what happened yesterday.

I woke up in the park some time around 5:00p, I suppose? My apologies, I have done my best to try and remember what happened but that time is still a blank.

- 8PM: Dinner with Break.
- 9PM: Went to my room and played Space Invaders for a while.

- 1AM: Woke up. SCREAMING. BECAUSE SOMEONE TRIED TO FUCKING AXE MY DOOR DOWN BECAUSE THEY'RE AN INCONSIDERATE PIECE OF SHIT. YOU PROBABLY ALL HEARD ME BECAUSE AGAIN: PIECE OF SHIT GHOSTS. PIECE OF SHIT TOWN.
- 2AM: HAD TO MOVE TO BREAK'S ROOM BECAUSE PIECE OF SHIT GHOSTS IN PIECE OF SHIT TOWN.
- 3AM: WENT THE FUCK TO SLEEP.

Thursday:
- 9AM: Woke up.
- 10AM - 1PM: Breakfast and companionable hanging out with Break.
- 1PM - 2PM: Assessing the damage on my piece of shit door in this piece of shit town.
- 2PM: Still assessing.
- 3PM: Angry nap.
- 4PM: Still angrily napping.
- 5PM: Woke up, learned someone died. Didn't fucking care because I hate this place.
- 6PM: Still don't care. Had dinner while everyone was freaking out. Made Break a sandwich.

10:45: Told Jerry a bedtime story and put him to bed. He didn't go to sleep.

Thursday 12:36-12:40: Finished off my snack pile, made a note to get more later.
1-4: Napped some more
4-5: Doodled. Drew up some plans for a harness for Jerry.
6-6:15: Picked out my outfit for the day.
6:16-7ish: Looked over my arm. Tried to do a handstand to see if it was better yet. Hurt myself worse. Laid on the floor for a while.
7:10-7:18: Wrapped my arm up with a fresh splint.
7:20: Watered Jerry's eye.
7:30: Went downstairs for breakfast with Jerry. Talked to people who came in.
8:04: Jerry flew off. I let him be for a while.
8:30-10: Spent a lot of time trying to find him again. He got stuck in a tree.
10-10:15: Tried to get him down with my cane. It eventually worked.
10:15-11: Went to the grocery store and got lots of snacks to restock my room.
11:03 - Watered Jerry's eye.
11:05-11:30: Doodled and decided what I'd do for the day.
11:45: Opened the window for Jerry so he could do whatever.
12-12:30: Went down and got some stuff for lunch. Ate it in my room.
12:35-2:30: Explored the construction site for a while. Lots of cool stuff there. Not as good of a new place as the clothing store but still pretty cool.
2:45-3: Went to shop through the clothing store for some new outfits.
3:10-3:30: Found Jerry and took him back to my room with the new clothes.
3:35-4:13: Tried on all my new clothes and made some new ensembles. Hung those up.
4:15-4:30: Played with Jerry a little.
4:33-4:45: Noticed Jerry had gotten dirt on him, so watered and washed him so his eye wouldn't get irritated.
4:45: Body announcement
4:50-5:30ish??? 6? I have no clue there aren't any clocks in the void: Met up with Dragonrider, investigated the Police Station and Construction site. Then met up with Whiskers and investigated the void forever basically. Found Lil Creep's head.
6??-6:30??: Took his head to the Chapel and talked with Dragonrider for a bit. Made plans to meet up later.
6:45ish-7: Went back to my room to shower and change.
7-8: Napped a little.
8-11: Met up with Dragonrider in the lobby to make a big origami turtle for Urashima. Then I went back to my room, watered Jerry's eye again, and went to sleep.

Findings

Followed Inaba to find blood in front of the schoolhouse. Found a blood-covered rock on the ground in the blood.

We also found the arms and torso of Urashima pinned to a tree with knives in his hands and his sword through his chest. His lower body and head were missing, and a trail of blood led into the void.

Trail of blood from the schoolhouse led to the playground where we found Faize critically injured and unconscious from a head wound.

Exhibit F - Urashima's Head

Found Lil Creep's head in the void with Dragonrider and Whiskers. Didn't examine it at all, couldn't even look at it, so someone else will have to do that.

Behind a discrete folding screen, in the room behind the altar, Urashima's body has been laid out on a simple white table. His body is covered with a white sheet, but the sheet can be removed. Other than the position and the sheet, the body has not been changed from how it was found (though it's been "reassembled" in that all limbs are present).

Near the body is two black and white photographs of the scene as it was when the body discovery chimes rang yesterday afternoon. The photographs are close ups - they portray Urashima's body, but no more of the scene than is necessary to do so. Still, if you want to check his position, it makes it fairly easy.

He's going to find Faize somewhere to sit near her and move to check over the evidence before coming back behind her pew to wrap his arms around her protectively. Why are his two favorite people suspects 8( He presses a kiss to the side of her head and squeezes her in an attempt to be reassuring.]

He's still bandaged up, and seems more sluggish and out of it than usual, but he looks better than he did yesterday, at least. And HEY, HE'S NOT DEAD.]

Everyone is allowed to wrap up their conversations, but all evidence must be left inside the chapel. After all have exited, Miata locks the doors behind her and starts the walk back to the hotel. ]
