week 9 - trial; day 1
![]() ♫ friday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 6PM, the trial will adjourn. Everyone will be escorted back to the hotel by Miata, after which everyone is allowed to head to either the kitchen to get dinner, or to their rooms. Attempting to wander off into the other areas of the hotel will trigger the static alarms in everyone's heads/televisions. >Discuss? setting rulebook |

He stops himself when he notices that he goes to the side. He was thinking about his conversation with Yoite earlier, but he decides he'll just berate the guy later when it's all over. ]
... Not heading inside?

But ah, it's Dhaos. There's a little frown in place, but it softens some when Mr. Demon King approaches. Dhaos is cool.]
...not yet, no. All I'd do is go brood in my room, so I figure getting some fresh air would be better. Should probably cool off a little before tomorrow so I'm not so snappy. That's not gonna help anything.

Indeed. People will just likely judge the attitude, if anything.
[ He folds his arms, as if seeming to think of something. ]
... Bill, have you ever had the chance to indulge in tea?
no subject
[It's not like being an asshole gets anyone anywhere except on the, "Well we could vote for them just because," list.
At the question he shakes his head.]
I...don't think so? What's tea?
no subject
[ This is the trial for Dhaos that if someone did suggest to do something like that to Bill he would actually slap the literal crap out of them.
Also he is displeased about what a certain someone said about Urashima... ]
That said, tea is a hot drink one can drink that can help soothe the mind and nerves, albeit temporarily. If you should wish it, we can go inside and I can show you how to make it.

[Thank you friend...he's all for getting his butt kicked for a bad attitude but please don't vote for him for it??
And who said what about Urashima BILL WILL FIGHT THEM. JUST POINT HIM IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.]
That actually sounds pretty good, yeah. Hot drinks warm you up when it's cold out too, so that'd make it even better here, I bet! Dollface's hot chocolate warmed me right up, so.
[And now he gets to learn how to make tea. Trifecta of hot drinks will be complete.]
no subject
[ Then it's a good thing he doesn't mention a name... fights are for later. Dhaos will wholeheartedly encourage the culprit be beat down this time, with glee! ]
Good, then come right this way. It's actually truly, extraordinarily simple to make as well. Do you prefer something sweet or bitter?
[ Dhaos begins to lead the way into the kitchen. ]
no subject
Bill follows without hesitating. Sweet or bitter...]
Eh, I'm pretty partial to both, but sweet sounds good right now. Are all human drinks so easy? Coffee is really simple too, and hot cocoa didn't seem...too difficult.
[He could probably make it again if he tried.]
