week 9 - trial; day 1
![]() ♫ friday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 6PM, the trial will adjourn. Everyone will be escorted back to the hotel by Miata, after which everyone is allowed to head to either the kitchen to get dinner, or to their rooms. Attempting to wander off into the other areas of the hotel will trigger the static alarms in everyone's heads/televisions. >Discuss? setting rulebook |

The dimension I come from is dying, and I want to find a way for me and everyone in it to escape before that happens. But even if they wanted to promise me that, it'd be pointless, since that's what Sixer and I were working on. He'd just about completed it before I ended up here, and he's a genius. A true blue genius. There's no way he won't figure it out.
[And then, gesturing to Faize, he adds:]
Even if he can't though, I've been talking about dimension hopping with Hazelwood. And he and I can figure some kind of answer out to take home as a back up plan.

I don't let anyone play me for a fool.

If you think you could put up with a bunch of Muses just as weird as I am, I may have to take you up on that offer.
[Poland is definitely a better place than where he is right now, he's pretty sure.]

[She has no idea.]

[They are not all as great as he is.]
But I guess the others are pretty okay. I'm sure they'd like you, so they'd probably behave.
no subject
Maybe. Stagger. Introducing them to me.
A little. [Like one every century. Maybe.]

Anything for you, Dollface. You still have to meet Jerry first anyway, right?
no subject
Yeah.
Ha ha!
[Oh god. She thought she'd sufficiently distracted you from that.]
Can't wait! [Long enough.]

He's a pet. You can handle pets, right?
no subject
Oh yeah. Yeah! Totally.

You don't have to if you don't want to. I'm sure he'll find you on his own eventually. He likes following people so.

Not meeting him and having every waking moment consumed with the fear he might be looming over her shoulder.]

[You okay there?]

... No, you don't. It'd be a foolish thing to. These people are not even trustworthy in the slightest. Yet, there is someone amongst us that believes they certainly are. I suppose the kind of culprit we are looking for is gullible, or rather... a fool in that sense, hm?
[ So much exasperation (that's putting it lightly) here. ]

[ Rhys. ]
But I doubt it'd be that easy.

[Aw, poor Duke. He's smart! He's just...loud and angry and can't control his stomach very well.]
