seven vices case 9 - investigation

thursday

On Thursday morning, nothing seems terribly out of place. As far as everyone can see, nothing is off, no one's is missing or unaccounted for. Everyone is free to wake up at their own times and mingle as they see fit.

For now.

friday

On Friday morning, nothing happens. It's 10AM, and there are no blackouts or explosions. There's no blood, no objects out of place, no missing guests. Nada. Zip. Zilch. The monitor in the lobby is silent, and Katerina doesn't seem to have anything to say on the matter.

On the most desperate of weeks...could someone have actually not taken the initiative?

friday

On Friday morning, the loss of the motive isn't terribly noticeable. As there were no mental effects this week, and everyone had taken their envelopes to at least destroy them, it's almost impossible to tell that something is off.

Unless of course you're getting up in the wee hours. Perhaps just to go to the bathroom? Whatever your reason, though, something is noticeably wrong--the power is out.

On Friday morning, the loss of the motive isn't terribly noticeable. As there were no mental effects this week, and everyone had taken their envelopes to at least destroy them, it's almost impossible to tell that something is off.

At least, until at around 5am, there's a deafening explosion coming from one of the lower hotel floors.

friday

On Friday morning, the loss of the motive isn't terribly noticeable. As there were no mental effects this week, one will only be alerted to its absence when entering the lobby--the computer monitor is gone.

Moreover, anyone taking a look outside will notice smoke coming from the police station.

friday

On Friday morning, everyone will wake up with all of their (warranted or unwarranted, jesus how many of y'all had shitty lives before murdertown) grief fulfilled. Whatever it is they've lost--they've found it again. Anyone heading out into the lobby will notice that the statue is gone.

And that can only mean one thing.

friday

On Friday morning, everyone will wake up with all of their crippling paranoia gone. Or, well, as much as they had before coming here (looking at you, Inaba). Anyone heading out into the lobby will notice that the mirror is gone.

And that can only mean one thing.

friday

On Friday morning, time shifts. It's a strange, twisting feeling reverberating throughout all in the town, even able to be felt by those still asleep, warping their dreams.

Everyone's sense of time is back to normal, and the large grandfather clock in the lobby is gone. Which, here, can only mean the mastermind had a change of heart--or someone is dead.
