week 4
![]() 28 players remaining ♫ monday - thursday Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice. "Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour." That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present. After hearing the motive, characters who choose to explore will find that the void around the town has retracted a bit, and there is now a police station to the far east of the chapel. On the chapel wall near the altar, black and white portraits of Youko, Zelos, and Morrigan have been hung up. Anyone looking for them will find that Youko's pink shoes and the fragments of Zelos's crystal are now gone. >Mingle? This is Week 4's mingle log, covering Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. Investigations will go up on Friday. When posting toplevels, specify the time and location. If you plan on having any private conversations between characters, remember to let us know in the post linked below. More plot elements will be introduced this week. Mod comments will be occasionally distributed to open toplevels, accordingly. setting rulebook profiles private conversations |

These are lovely.

Thanks! Hinata and some of the others helped me... but it was Hinata's idea to decorate the school!

[Hopefully one that isn't ruined by the next murder??? The school house needs to be quarantined from murder now.]
Did you make all of these?

tuesday!
Er— I'm... not sure. I've never heard of that before.
[At least Gilbert's used to the fact that this place apparently runs on an entirely different calendar system than his own world?!]
no subject
No? It's what they call the second month of the year back home. ( And he holds up two fingers. ) It was the beginning of February when I came here. Master was telling us about a special holiday they celebrate now but I missed it~.
( And he's a little sad because he was looking forward to learning how to make chocolate and eating it even more but he doesn't sound too bothered. )

[WHO KNOWS WHAT SYSTEM THEY USE THOUGH, it's a mystery...]
What holiday is it? Maybe you can still celebrate it later.

the prompt with meeee
Even as he looks around warily, he's still trying his best to pay attention to Urashima, nodding distractedly.]
Uh... maybe on the desks? You know, like... is it weird to put that as if students had made them?
no subject
( Since Hinata has some reservations, he thinks for a second and comes up with an idea, )
But what if we leave one for each? Like we're giving a gift to each one!
no subject
[Maybe it can do something to ease Zelos' and Youko's spirits, too. As for the ones on the string, hang on! He can help! Or try to, anyway, Urashima's probably got it well enough in hand.]
I think maybe hanging them by the chalkboard or the windows would really help brighten it up, though.

Tuesday
Twenty-eight or twenty-nine. Usually it's twenty-eight, but every four years is a leap year where there are twenty-nine. Century years are skipped unless you can divide them by four hundred. [She wouldn't typically include that last rule, but Urashima might conceivably need to know that, given he can measure his age in centuries.]
no subject
What a simple answer, though! For all intent and purposes, he'll go with twenty-eight just because an eager and impatient child and begin counting on his fingers. Five, six, seven.... eighteen, nineteen, twe--... wait? What was that? Century years are skipped? Unless you can divide them by what? Wait? Ah, he looks up from his hands, brows knit tightly in confusion and just... completely and totally lost. )
So... twenty-eight?

monday!
[Oh. It's more of the neat folded paper things... He never did get to ask Urashima about those last week.]
Good morning. Might I ask what the two of you are doing?
no subject
( Urashima says super casually like this is totally a normal thing. And to be fair, as a sword spirit himself, this probably is a normal concept to him, even if he himself never received offerings. )
Do you wanna help?
no subject
I...could help, yes. Though before I do, I feel as though an explanation would be beneficial. [He picks up one of the cranes and gently turns it over in his hands.] Is this some manner of Earth ritual?

It's a month! The second one in the year.

... Urashima, are you occupied?
no subject
Huh? Ah, Mr. Dhaos! No, I'm not. Why?
no subject
[ He actually has no plan here, but he will see if he could strike up conversation of some type to provide a good distraction. After all, he's feeling better himself regarding the situation...as long as he doesn't look at it himself. ]
