week 1
![]() ♫ monday - thursday Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice. "Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour." That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present. Curiously, anyone who has spoken with Miata for any period of time during the past week will notice that the voice coming from the television and her own do not match up. Come Tuesday, the footsteps around the void will begin drifting away from it. The pitter-patter of feet can be heard when standing outside the clinic and chapel as well. On top of the food that was added to the kitchen last week, spaghetti noodles and tomato sauce is now available. You're welcome, Papyrus. >Mingle? This is Week 1's mingle log, covering Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. Investigations will go up on Friday. When posting toplevels, specify the time and location. Well!
You can't. So. Get out. Yeah.
Okay, bye!
[Just give her thirty more years to finish this and then change her dress to something not covered in flour-- SHE SWEARS SHE'S ALMOST DONE.]

After that she figures Lithuania has probably been sitting in the lobby for fifteen years so maybe she will just skip changing her dress. Or wiping down her face.
Because she's such a good friend.
So she'll traipse out to the lobby carrying 32 cupcakes on a checkerboard plate.]
Surprise!

These look very nice. Thank you.

See? It's you know. Like chess?
[She couldn't find any chessboards around, but she figured a game would be relaxing for a giant nerd like Lithuania.]
We can play now! [Then eat the pieces. The best game of chess there is.]

What are you afraid to lose to me again?

As for captured cupcakes, Poland's content to leisurely chew on them for the duration of the game. If there's fruits on them that doesn't make them overly bad for you-- this game has been going on for a long time anyways!]
...
[Eventually Poland starts to find herself having a harder time trying to get out of increasingly tougher spots though.]

...um.

Is that Miata sitting up on the clock again?

[Not so much time to give her to chew or swallow though.
Disregard the chipmunk cheeks, nothing just happened.]

Num um nut!
[You have to be prepared for anything on the battlefield of chess-- even renegade cupcake eating.]

Poland moves the only way she really can move her piece, because she'd never ever just admit she should probably just surrender when she has no other moves left.
That'd be too easy.]
Alright take me then.

So take me I'm yours~!
[Do the seductive eye battings from across the board do anything for you?]
