Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice.

"Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour."

That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present.

Curiously, anyone who has spoken with Miata for any period of time during the past week will notice that the voice coming from the television and her own do not match up.

Come Tuesday, the footsteps around the void will begin drifting away from it. The pitter-patter of feet can be heard when standing outside the clinic and chapel as well. On top of the food that was added to the kitchen last week, spaghetti noodles and tomato sauce is now available. You're welcome, Papyrus.

Wh-- [Lithuania turns to look at the clock, but only for an instant before she realizes what Poland is actually trying to do. Still, it feels like a very long instant as she whirls back to face Poland.]

[That's more than enough time for Poland to cram one of Lithuania's cupcakes into her mouth and slide another one of her's over!]

[Not so much time to give her to chew or swallow though.

Disregard the chipmunk cheeks, nothing just happened.]

[She knew it.] Poland. You're cheating again!

[Poland shakes her head, muffling out a protest.]

Num um nut!

[You have to be prepared for anything on the battlefield of chess-- even renegade cupcake eating.]

It's my birthday, you know. [Lithuania is just going to slide Poland's cupcake back to where it was and take one of the captured ones to replace the one that's obviously in Poland's mouth.]

[YOU CAN'T FAULT HER FOR TRYING.

Poland moves the only way she really can move her piece, because she'd never ever just admit she should probably just surrender when she has no other moves left.

That'd be too easy.]

Alright take me then.

[It's a good thing Lithuania isn't eating at the moment, because she would have definitely choked.] Don't say it like that!

Like what? You were so upset that I didn't let you take me and now you can take me!

[Do the seductive eye battings from across the board do anything for you?]

[Lithuania deliberately fixes her expression in the most neutral manner she can manage. It's extremely neutral. She moves her piece.] Check.
