seven vices week 1 ♫ monday - thursday Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice. "Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour." That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present. Curiously, anyone who has spoken with Miata for any period of time during the past week will notice that the voice coming from the television and her own do not match up. Come Tuesday, the footsteps around the void will begin drifting away from it. The pitter-patter of feet can be heard when standing outside the clinic and chapel as well. On top of the food that was added to the kitchen last week, spaghetti noodles and tomato sauce is now available. You're welcome, Papyrus. >Mingle? Morning!

[Takao has just come back inside from his Morning Run and wow that was terrible it took a week like summer vacation before high school, when his middle school basketball team didn't have a training camp and he was just outside running in parallel with riverbanks all by himself. The worst, one out of five stars, would not recommend. He is perfectly happy to get tugged, fall into step with some other person for once, though it has an effect on his footwork. Man, is this how the taller boys on his team actually feel? Is this incredibly long morning how adults feel when they start needing coffee.]

No, I haven't. Is there anything new?

Heh heh...! Nothing to report! ( Well, he is a soldier in an army. Not that you can really tell when he's actually trying to show it off because it sounds like he's still playing around. ) Did you see anyone while you were running?

Not this time. [There are other strong "guests", some who have even ran with him before, but none have been quite as consistent from what Takao has seen so far. The "occupation" field is pretty bleak in that respect, from his perspective.]

Now that the briefing is over, on to the "mess hall" for us, then? [He plays into the military jargon as best he can, though he doesn't inflect it with the correct formality. That Urashima is in an army hasn't even entirely been made clear to Takao - being a sword might not be the same thing as participating in attacks.]
