week 4
![]() 28 players remaining ♫ monday - thursday Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice. "Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour." That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present. After hearing the motive, characters who choose to explore will find that the void around the town has retracted a bit, and there is now a police station to the far east of the chapel. On the chapel wall near the altar, black and white portraits of Youko, Zelos, and Morrigan have been hung up. Anyone looking for them will find that Youko's pink shoes and the fragments of Zelos's crystal are now gone. >Mingle? This is Week 4's mingle log, covering Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. Investigations will go up on Friday. When posting toplevels, specify the time and location. If you plan on having any private conversations between characters, remember to let us know in the post linked below. More plot elements will be introduced this week. Mod comments will be occasionally distributed to open toplevels, accordingly. setting rulebook profiles private conversations |

thursday, noon
Absolutely not. I'm not spending any more time with anyone than I have to, especially if it means sleeping in the same room with them.

[Don't... mind him just making a little mark next to her profile in his book. He glances up at her with not quite surprise, but more honest curiosity.]
If it could prevent a murder... you don't think that's reason enough?

I would not be opposed to implementing such a system. All of our rooms have two beds, after all. It isn't as though it would be much of an inconvenience.
no subject
It really wouldn't be. I mean... if girls didn't want to room with boys and vice versa, I think that should still be okay. And the rules don't say anything about pushing beds from other rooms into someone else's, so you could probably squeeze three beds into a room, easily.
[Who wouldn't want a co-ed sleepover though...]

Thursday
In theory, if you expect everyone to watch each other, it would be a good idea. Reality, however, is different.

[Not accusatory, just honestly trying to understand. Why u scoff at him.]

[After watching a moment, she does have to speak up--this is kind of worrisome behavior here.]
Are you listening?

[He clearly doesn't hear her say his name at first, giving a start when she asks if he's listening and tearing his gaze away from the screen to look up at her. Oh, Selena...]
Uh... no, sorry. What were you saying?

[ Since... Buddy. ]
Roomfriend system!
no subject
Y-yeah, sure. Roomfriend system makes sense. Girls and boys can room separately if they want, and it... if it could help prevent a murder, I think it's the least any of us can do.

But it was worth asking.

thursday
It's a good idea! You can't sneak out to murder if someone's keeping an eye on you, plus there are people here who can't fight as well and could use extra protection at night. And if you disagree, then you're probably a murdering murderer who wants to murder and it'll be all your fault when you shoot up to the top of the list of suspects because you don't have anyone backing your alibi!
Though what would be more helpful is if PEOPLE WOULD STOP LEAVING THEIR ROOMS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREAKING NIGHT. [Ranulf.]
no subject
I... don't know that I'd go that far, [about being a murdering murderer who murders,] But yeah, that's what I mean. If it comes down to alibis, I'd rather have someone to vouch for where I was than, I don't know, try lying about it to seem less suspicious, or having no one to account for me at all.

[Okay but in this case shouldn't it be Hinata disappointed that he can't have his own breakfast in peace? Because Bill just sees this as an invitation to sit and chat with him.]
I already have a buddy!

But oh, Bill has a buddy already? Hinata makes a mark next to his name and glances toward him with some curiosity.]
Yeah? Who did you pair with?

thursday of course!
Why, no, I don't think it's a bad idea at all... I've been more or less unofficially doing so anyways~.
[ Though admittedly, that's also in part because he just needs a seeing-eye Gilbert, but. ]
of course!

tuesday THAT'S RIGHT YOU GET ANOTHER ROXY TAG
Man, they could've bothered to give us somethin' less shitty to watch than this. Did it really need an endless loop? At least fit some funny cat videos in there, sheesh.
