Whatever it is they've lost--they've found it again. Anyone heading out into the lobby will notice that the statue is gone. And that can only mean one thing. >Investigate? cast setting

[ After the schoolhouse party does what it does best, all televisions in the hotel will turn on to static, waking up anyone still asleep. The calm, apathetic voice begins speaking: ]

A crime has been committed. Two people are now dead. Please rise, and investigate.

[ There's a pause. ]

Additionally, the rulebook will be updated with precautions against self-violence. Any player currently holding Key Player status or retired player status will not be permitted to engage in violence against themselves for any reason.

[ Her tone grows a bit irritated, actually, and for the first time ever, the voice addresses someone specifically: ]

We're looking at you, Mister Xerxes. Don't try it again.

[crazily]

[ Wow, what could that announcement be about?? Break has no idea!! He's getting called out for no reason!!

But, you know, his left eye is pretty thoroughly bandaged up, and he looks about as happy with getting lectured if you're inclined to see what the fuck the TVs were talking about. ]

[dereban]

[ Flatly: ]

What did you do.

[crazily]

[ He wanted to keep this on the downlow!! As much as he could, at least, which he expected wasn't going to be much but. He hadn't expected getting called for it this way. ]

...Do I really have to explain it?

[ So, as such, grandpa is grumpy. Good job, Break. ]

Yes, because it obviously pissed someone off.

[crazily]

Then they shouldn't have made the motive grief, of all things.

[ Break responds snappishly because this totally isn't his fault!! Or more seriously, it's because he's not exactly happy with it either. Now that the grief has all but gone, it seems very starkly ridiculous. ]

... So you tried to stab your eye.

[crazily]

Not stab it, no.

[ There's a long pause, and he just ends up sighing. There's really no way to explain this that's going to make any sense, and he doesn't exactly want to explain in the first place... ]

...Scratch it, technically. The socket is painful at times.

[ Which, in case Inaba wasn't aware and had missed it (he does try and hide it), his left eye is just a socket. It's completely empty. At least it's covered with bandages now, if nothing else. ]

[minogame]

( What a shocking day!! Urashima covers his mouth when he hears there are two bodies but then he turns to look at Break once his name is called out. Violence against themselves? Ah... he had noticed that bandaged on him this morning but... )

Mr. Break? Are you... okay now...?

( He doesn't actually hate you Mr. Bully?? Are you okay?? )

[crazily]

[ This is why he's upset that it was announced. He groans slightly when Urashima starts to speak, since he knows your kind, punk. He doesn't want your sympathy!! ]

Obviously. It's just a small trifle. It looks far worse than it is.

[minogame]

( WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU KNOW HIS KIND.

He's a little quiet for a moment, unsure if he should accept that answer or not, )

Did you have someone else look at it?

( You know, after Break obviously checked for himself because he can totally check his own injuries in the mirror and stuff. )

[crazily]

[ Break sighs, and at least at the more practical concern, he relaxes. He does reach up to kind of run his hand through his hair awkwardly, and that ends with a shrug and a predictable answer. ]

Gilbert took care of it. It's not that bad, but just unpleasant to look at.

[minogame]

Mr. Gilbert...?

( You mean the Tall Turtle that has been avoiding Urashima lately? Ugh, well, it makes sense if he was taking care of his friend this week. Maybe he knew something like this was going to happen? The way Break keeps insisting it's not a big deal does make him worry. Even if it's a small thing physically, the week was difficult, clearly. )

Uhm... so you'll be okay, then?

( And he doesn't mean just Break's eye. There's nothing lingering too heavily? Even if the spell is broken and everyone should be free from the effects, in theory, people don't just forget feelings, )

[ Break responds cheerfully and flippantly, and he even gestures idly as an open, definitely clownish gesture. It does seem like he's not any different from normal. ]

It was just a mo~tive~. Though it's very unfortunate, it's all gone once someone dies. It's completely manufactured.

( Urashima tilts his head to the side and leans back just a bit. Ah, Break, why are you werid... )

You can't fake what you feel. ( Break's logic doesn't make any sense to him. ) Maybe the reason for it wasn't real but... you still felt it. ( Otherwise Break wouldn't have done that to his eye. ) And just because the spell is broken... you can still remember why you were hurt so it's not like it's really all gone either.

[Peering at the bandages.]

...whoa, did you stab yourself in the eye? That's...that's pretty badass! [surely this is a sensible reaction to have]

[crazily]

[ CLOSE... But not literally stabbing. He doesn't seem to approve of the compliment, since his lips just draw into a thin line as he glances away. ]

I didn't stab myself in the eye, no.

[The look Gilbert is giving Break right now is like

They had to make a damn announcement for your ass.]

[crazily]

[ He can't see that look but he still Feels it, which is why he looks over Gilbert's way. ]

[By the spooky disembodied voice... But yeah, weird lady! His thoughts exactly!! Stop hurting yourself Break, geez.]

[ break just makes the bleurgh face without dulling it down at all ]

[Ah, the bleurgh face... It's been so long... Like two or three whole hours.]

I know, I know. [SIGHS.] It looks like that won't be a problem in the future, anyway.

[ That sarcasm is nothing short of scathing, really. At least it's not directed at Gilbert for once, though... ]
