week 2 - execution & aftermath
![]() ♫ sunday After everyone has voted, the paper and photos will disappear. RESULTS
...congratulations. By a majority vote, Mikazuki Munechika has been found guilty for the murder of Kurisu Makise.
Mikazuki, a few moments for your last words.

I may not have any right to make a request, but please take care of my friend Urashima Kotetsu. He has two loving brothers who wish to see him return alive.
[His smile never seemed to wear even from the start.]

So you are saying that is why you made the kill, then? You became simply paranoid and killed someone?

As soon as he sees the results, Urashima is running towards Mikazuki, clinging onto him desperately, eyes welling with tears. )
Mikazuki-san, why?! Why, why, why?! ( He's crying, completely hysterical. ) Why didn't you talk to me? Why didn't you tell me something was wrong?! Why-- I'm strong! I could have been strong for you! I would have stopped you if...

Execution: Hototogisu
The scene opens with two full moons hanging bright in the sky over an open field. Mikazuki stands alone in the field with his sword at his side. The wind blows and grotesque army appears.
Mikazuki smiles serenely and draws his blade, eyes glowing as bright as the moons in the sky before charging into the enemy’s frontline. Mikazuki is a skilled swordsman, easily cutting down enemy after enemy without breaking so much as a sweat and when all is done, he stands alone in the field again, surrounded by broken bones, armor, and swords. The battle is over but he doesn’t put away his sword just yet.
From the sky, a childish laugh is heard and Mikazuki raises his sword in time to catch a small dancing spirit. It dances around, skipping about to the point it is almost impossible for Mikazuki to keep up. When he’s finally close enough to strike, a giant appears and sets him back and then another pair of monsters with great swords move in.
Mikazuki appears taken aback for a second, eyes growing wide as if he recognizes the spirits but he steels himself. Once again, he moves in for the attack and though this battle is much harder than the last but he presses forward.
Above, the first and second moon begin to wane until the battle ends with Mikazuki standing victorious but not alone under a passing lunar eclipse.
The wind dies down, leaving a strange lull in its wake.
In the midst of an endless battlefield, a grotesque new enemy appears from a rift, emitting a blue, spiritual light. Though it looks the same as other spirits Mikazuki has fought, this one lacks the wild and angry energy of the earlier armies. As it draws its sword, the blue light flickers and the spirit reveals itself as a second Mikazuki but this one is missing the original’s smile and his eyes dark like the other side of the moon.
The emotionless reflection attacks.
This is Mikazuki’s third battle and he begins to wear down. The battle is over almost too fast and it ends with the original down on his knees and laughs, still smiling as blood spills from his lips, “Well, all things are doomed to perish one day. That day happens to be today - that is all there is to it.”
The moons in the sky are fully eclipse and the reflection’s skin begins to crack and shatter revealing the hideous, skeletal true form underneath. It grows and grows and grows until a giant monster looms over Mikazuki. It’s jaw opens large and wide and the monster swoops down on Mikazuki, devouring him.
The image slowly fades from view, until the fire is simply a fire, again. ]

She's walking with wobbly feet, almost on the verge of falling but pulling enough, just out of sheer force of will. Not that it helps much as she balls her hand into a tight fist, features twisting in pain, anger, frustration - a mixture of things altogether. ]

Someone more reasonable might deal with exhaustion on top of everything hurting by hauling off to their room. Not being that someone, Clover plops down to take a seat in the snow and collapses back. She's just gonna lie down here for a little bit?? You know, like you do???? Clover you're gonna get tripped over.
The smallest, squeakiest mumble from the ground:] Finally done with that crap.

[So when his throat suddenly feels like it's on fire instead, he's definitely a little surprised. His eyes widen as he raises a hand to his neck as a raspy little gasp escapes his throat.]
Ah--
[Well this is probably going to make conversation a little difficult, but at least he can walk back to the hotel just fine? Which he'll do at some point, surely.]

then forwards.
then backwards again.
actually, it starts swinging in every kind of direction, little bolts of electrical discharge bursting out every so often. hopefully you're not standing too close because there's a large chance that you might just be smacked right in the face. with a pretty heavy metal hand. whoops!
and if you're not smacked by it, rhys is still trying to get it under control but snow + arm + rhys' own yelling means he's going to slip and bam, crash right into the snow. why this. why this!!
does anyone want to help rhys as his arm tries to literally go insane? ]
H-Heeeeelp!

[That's the sound of Gilbert getting smacked soundly in the face by a very heavy robot arm... There's also a little "pauf" noise as he immediately grabs his nose and tips over into the snow like the balance-less twig he is.
Will Rhys be joining him in snowy hell soon?? Gilbert's still rolling to the side and reeling, but he'll check on his poor comrade soon...]
