week 1 - execution & aftermath
![]() ♫ sunday After everyone has voted, the paper and photos will disappear. Miata will usher everyone outside, only allowing them to grab their coats and weather-appropriate gear, and lead them to the bonfire. Floating in the middle of the flames, a list appears, clear as day. >Gather? cast setting rulebook |

...congratulations. By a majority vote, Kaguya Houraisan has been found guilty for the murder of Kazunari Takao.
Kaguya, a few moments for your last words.

First, to whoever spilt my tea, I pray you meet an end far more painful than my victim's.
...and Mokou, if this really happens...I win.

EXECUTION: Eternity and the Instantaneous (cw mild gore)
The image is clear enough, but a bit distorted thanks to the moving flames. Still, it's easy enough to gather what's going on. Kaguya sits in a chair in a plain, blank room with nothing in it but a large sundial. She folds her hands primly on her lap, eyeing it with a little curiosity before slipping back into a bored expression.
The sundial begins to move at a rapid pace, although it isn't clear where the sunlight is actually coming from. It's dizzying, how quickly the "days" turn by, and at first, nothing happens. But slowly, slowly, Kaguya starts changing. She looks older. From her late teens to her thirties, her fifties, her seventies, and then she's nearly 100, frail and hands shaking from the ravages of age.
Her skin begins sinking into her bones as the sundial rotates on, disappearing, rotting away, as she begins swaying on her chair. For a second, her muscles are exposed, but those too vanish as she falls over. A pile of bones and a head full of black hair lay among Kaguya's clothes, but even they begin to fade away into little more than dust, holes of decay even eating away at the fabric.
The sundial stops. What remains are only fragments of bone, scraps of cloth, and a few strands of hair. The view pans away to the sundial one last time, before the image fades.
The fire burns on. ]

She can't imagine what that sensation must be like. She definitely doesn't want to. She's her father's daughter, though, and the theoretical physicist in her can't stop thinking about it, nor can the neuroscientist.
It isn't too long before she starts to feel guilty about thinking about this so scientifically, but if she let her emotions take over, she doesn't know what sort of maelstrom will erupt. So maybe it's better this way, better to be cold, even with this blazing fire before her. ]

He's angry at her. And maybe it's thanks to that anger, and all the bruises that are covering his body thanks to some TERRIBLE BULLIES, but he suddenly lets out a quiet grunt of pain, one hand moving to cover his eyes and press his fingers into his temples. What...? A delayed concussion from Vegeta bonking his head into the wall, maybe?]

There's no way she is going back out to the clinic tonight though.
Instead, she shifts over to lean against a wall. Maybe her knees
and her everythingwill calm the hell down after a moment. She just needs to make it to her room.](no subject)
