week 1 - trial; day 2

seven vices case 1 trial, day 2 ♫ sunday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. Hey! Yoite-san mentioned Takao-kun decided he was going to go exercise. It gets really cold so he would have had to be dressed up warm, right?

( And he'll motion to the pictures of Takao's body at the scene fo the crime. He's dressed very warmly! )

He doesn't have a hat on! I didn't think it was important but when we searched his room, it didn't look like he wore any of the hats
didn't see it in his room.

But I've seen him wear a blue one before! What if that's what the burned fabric is?

And why his hair was burned? His hat caught on fire some how?!

...So, you think the hat is where the fabric comes from? Something that small certainly could've been burned in the bonfire...we've only found a piece of it, right?

Well, a lot of it could have been destroyed for good in the fire...

And weren't some scissors missing? Maybe that's related.

And he didn't have it when they found him... so I think that's definitely the hat we found!

I've seen him wearing that hat too! That could totally be what the fabric's from!

His hat fell into the fire? And maybe his head, at least a little. [That would be unfortunate for him.]

Yes, that as well. And, I suppose, considering Takeo's footprints don't lead from the bonfire to the area he was killed in, someone must have carried him in the air. [...So, uh, sort of the same issue. BUT THEY KNOW WHAT THE FABRIC IS.]

Maybe he was attacked near the bonfire... some how his hat must have gotten burned while he was wearing it and maybe he threw it off while he was running back to the hotel?

Right! And that proves that the murderer is...

...I STILL DON'T GET IT!!

It does probably rule out Vegeta...? I can't think of a reason for him to fight someone by the bonfire and then pick them up and set them down and pick them up again, and he's too strong to drop Takeo. [Does that help at all...] And I don't think anyone who can't fly could have done it.

And Buddy said it can't be someone who couldn't fly... so it's not Youko-san or Yoite-san!

I think it at least proves who isn't the killer. Yoite and Youko can't fly, so if we're positive now that he was flown up to the roof, then it can't be them.
