week 1 - trial; day 1

seven vices case 1 trial, day 1 ♫ saturday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 6PM, the trial will adjourn. Everyone will be escorted back to the hotel by Miata, after which everyone is allowed to head to either the kitchen to get dinner, or to their rooms. Attempting to wander off into the other areas of the hotel will trigger the static alarms in everyone's heads/televisions. >Discuss? victim suspects         cast setting rulebook

That seems to be the best use of our time. Astrid, you should probably check the dresser as well, once you're done with the closet.

[Since, you know. Youko is a girl and Astrid is the only girl on team Astrid. She may possibly be a murderer but let's respect her lady privacy as much as we can???]

[Faize, meanwhile, will check the bathroom, going through every drawer and cabinet and checking under and behind everything.]

...well, that's not entirely true. it's completely devoid of any dust or grime now. how does a carpet even get that fresh without a vacuum cleaner?? how does a bathroom get that shiny outside of a hospital??? someone must have been very bored, or an obsessive cleaner.

as for the closet, it's- oh god. everything's been sorted by colour. it's the same with the draws; the clothes they came with are all immaculately washed and folded.

get out. leave this place before it claims your soul in its desire for tidiness. get out and never look back. ]

Astrid will. Check any blue clothes over first, but then she will be going through everything else, checking pockets and unfolding things and shaking them out. SORRY, YOUKO. ]

HANYUU'S ROOM

Let us be on with it, then. Time has become ever so precious once again.

[ morrigan's party arrives at hanyuu's room. first and foremost, Morrigan decides to check the bed; if she wanted to hide anything, it would be a logical place to store it, whether it be under the mattress or the whole thing altogether. ]

To think it would come to this... [ For Hanyuu, of all people... but Alisha sighs and heads for the closet for a search of her own. ]

[She shrugs, not really believing Hanyuu is guilty, and goes to search the bathroom.]

[ Hanyuu's room is a little messy, but not to the point of impeding walking.

The bathroom is probably the cleanest. Her swimsuit is hanging up to dry over the shower curtain, still a little wet, and various toiletries are set neatly on the sink. Nothing out of the ordinary.

The closet is a little more disorganized. Some dresses and shirts are dropped on the floor, some hanging off of their hangers--giving off the impression she couldn't decide what to wear that day. Clear of any suspicious things as well.

And her bed--the one closest to the door is immaculately made, a few other dresses set on it as though she was looking at outfit combinations. The bed near the window has its blanket strewn aside...but again, nothing stands out. There are a few plates with crumbs on them on her dresser, and an origami flower stuck in the blinds, but that's it.

Squeaky clean. ]

KAGUYA'S ROOM

[Gilbert isn't quite used to taking charge like some vikings but THAT'S OKAY, this group seems... self-sufficient anyway....... Or something. Why Cheshire, though-- But no okay, he won't let a little scathing rivalry get in the way of JUSTICE. So off to Kaguya's room he'll go, unlocking the door but stopping just on the inside.]

...We should probably have a couple of people look through the closet in case anything is missed the first time.

We should all check every thing a few times over. [He heads over the bed to start examining it, looking for anything that might be hidden under or in it.]

Three sets of eyes looking things over are better than two or one, so that sounds fine to me!

[Bill's going to check out that dresser himself, starting with the top drawer and rummaging through the contents there. What's hiding within you, strange clothing holder?]

[since i'm a dumbo who forgot to include it in my first comment, Gilbert will move to check said closet too! He starts at the floor first, checking the perimeter of the closet's interior and pressing down on floorboards to see if any are loose.]

(time to mess up) VEGETA'S ROOM

[Undyne is just gonna go ahead and SLAM OPEN Vegeta's door, probably cracking the wall a bit but who cares. She rubs her hands gleefully.]

ALL RIGHT! That jerk is probably hiding something super embarrassing in here, so make sure to check every corner! Leave no stone unturned!! [For...clues...yeah...

Anyway, she'll start off by checking underneath the beds since that's where embarrassing things are usually hidden.]

Don't forget, we haven't found the gloves or the syringe. Even if that burnt piece of plastic is one of them, it might still be something to look for.

His clothes are all hung up, in shades of black, beige, and brown pretty pitch black when you get down to it.]

[ Yoite's room is slightly cluttered, but it's almost a controlled cluttered. Items are moved just slightly of where they're supposed to be, just enough to notice that they're askew.

...but aside from that, it's pretty plain. There's nothing material in his room but clothes. Plenty of winter clothes. Nothing under the bed either.]
