week 1 - trial; day 1

seven vices case 1 trial, day 1 ♫ saturday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 6PM, the trial will adjourn. Everyone will be escorted back to the hotel by Miata, after which everyone is allowed to head to either the kitchen to get dinner, or to their rooms. Attempting to wander off into the other areas of the hotel will trigger the static alarms in everyone's heads/televisions. >Discuss? victim suspects         cast setting rulebook

[Gilbert goes through the clothing with care anyway, making sure to check for stains, tears, or suspiciously blue polyester funkiness. He'll also check any pockets!]

[Upon closer inspection, it seems apparent that literally everything has been worn at least once. Yes, she actually tried everything on. Nothing else of note, however.]

[What are these tea things? Something to ask about later. There's no suspicious fabric underneath the box is there? What about something hidden in all of this tea. He's just unceremoniously dumping the contents out onto the table.]

[WHAT. How dare you! It's all just looseleaf tea that...had been organized. Nothing else is in there besides a simple tea infuser.]

[LORD, WHO GOES THROUGH ALL OF THESE CLOTHES...]

I think she tried on everything in here... Nothing suspicious so far, though. [He'll check the window sill and the outside and inside for any scuffs or strange markings just in case.]

[Because suspicious things are always in the bathroom! Gonna check out the cabinets first, because obviously if you're hiding something it's gonna be IN something else.

[Nothing out of the ordinary in the bathroom! Although she hasn't bothered to hang up her towels. Just left them wadded up on the floor.]

[Checking around the clock and TV just to be thorough! He'll look behind and around both.]

[It doesn't look like she's touched the television or clock at all, except for placing a few little origami cranes on them.]

To make sure they fit? To see how they look on you! Plus there's all those fun ensemble combinations to figure out. I had a lot of time this past week.

[He was really bored at some points. Okay, what if he checks through the towels then. Nothing wadded up in those, is there?]

[He'll wander back out into the main room, arms crossed.]

Unless she's hidin' something under the carpet I don't think there's anything in here...

I checked the floorboards in the closet and nothing was there.

[But he'll do a quick perimeter check to see if any of the carpet edges look like they've been pulled up recently!]

It's kind of boring that there aren't any secret passages or compartments in these rooms.

[This is all very frustrating. Bill's going to double check a few things just out of curiosity, and a lack of anything on his part.

These clothes neatly folded on the bed, what's up with them? He didn't check them himself, but he's unfolding them to look them over anyway. Once again, sorry for mussing things up Kaguya. (It's better than what Vegeta had to deal with though right?)]

[It's just a very comfortable set of fine silk robes complete with ribbons. The outfit she arrived in. Nothing seems to be hidden in them.]

It makes things easier for us, though. Anyway, the carpet seems fine.
