Everyone's sense of time is back to normal, and the large grandfather clock in the lobby is gone. As was I. Training was the best way to pass the time. Really, I can only assume that whoever did this was just hoping to get out of the game...

[Like that's a motive none of them really stopped to consider while they were bitching about how lame this one was. The ever present "you don't have to play anymore" motive.]

Mmm...you're right, of course. [Look he just really wants to believe nobody killed because they were inconvenienced by time perception bullshit? Let him believe.] But it is an option, nevertheless. Just something to keep in mind.

No, I meant - you know. If whoever did this did it to get out, they gave up finding a different way too soon.

Oh! Yes, I understand now. And that is...even more of a correct statement than it was when I misunderstood.

Though I suppose it does little good to debate their motivations right now. Not when we are working with a time limit.

[They can debate motive at the trial? Maybe? Is it even going to be relevant in this case...]

It probably won't do us any good at any point. "Why" isn't really important until we've caught them, is it? And even then, I'm not sure how much it matters.

[ She's more practical than to fuss about their motives beyond complaining that they're stupid, apparently....... ]

Mm...I'm not so sure that it's never important. In this instance, perhaps not, but depending on what else they have in store for us... [Because surely they're going to start upping the bar from now on, right?] Motivations may not be as concrete as physical evidence, and much harder to prove but...I wouldn't discount the psychological aspect entirely.

[It could be useful some day? Maybe?]

For the purposes of this murder, though. Given that the options are pretty much "completely overreacted to time stuff" or "wanted to go home and didn't give it more than a week to find a different way".

[ BOTH THOSE OPTIONS ARE DUMB???????? Astrid shrugs. ]

I'll probably go look around outside some more, I think.
