seven vices case 1 - investigation

friday

On Friday morning, time shifts. It's a strange, twisting feeling reverberating throughout all in the town, even able to be felt by those still asleep, warping their dreams.

Everyone's sense of time is back to normal, and the large grandfather clock in the lobby is gone. Which, here, can only mean the mastermind had a change of heart--or someone is dead.

Clearly he did something.

[#victimblaming- no Vegeta's just being himself. Maybe.]

What happened? How was he killed?

I haven't had a chance to closely examine the body yet, but he has a broken neck and a head injury. [Either would be enough on their own if they were severe enough. The broken neck was definitely severe enough.]
keepshispride: (Grumble tch.)

[... Both? That's interesting.]

Hm. Well, it certainly didn't take us long, did it? [Though it probably felt like it did.]

Objectively speaking, no. [Lithuania is disappointed, but she can't say she's all that surprised, considering the trouble whoever's in charge of all this apparently went through to profile them and gather them up.] They certainly picked someone harmless enough to kill, as well.

[Not that national level athletic ability is bad, but in comparison to what a lot of them are bringing to the table here...]
keepshispride: (Not saying thank you.)

[WELL, I MEAN, CONSIDERING WHO IS TALKING HERE yeah]

Harmless... and probably easier to catch alone than the other defenceless children here. [Training on his own, slightly more confident, etc.] He was an obvious choice. He should have watched his back better.

A normal child shouldn't be expected to know about that sort of thing. [Which, yes, could be another reason he was targeted, but Lithuania doesn't have to like it.] The question is if he was chosen because of convenience or because whoever it was who killed him was at a similar level of ability.
