seven vices week 1 ♫ monday - thursday Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice. "Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour." That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present. Curiously, anyone who has spoken with Miata for any period of time during the past week will notice that the voice coming from the television and her own do not match up. Come Tuesday, the footsteps around the void will begin drifting away from it. The pitter-patter of feet can be heard when standing outside the clinic and chapel as well. On top of the food that was added to the kitchen last week, spaghetti noodles and tomato sauce is now available. You're welcome, Papyrus. >Mingle? [ She hops off the clock, landing surprisingly gracefully. With zero regard for his personal space, Miata takes Hinata's talisman in her hands and holds it there for a few seconds.

And then it glows, light seeping in through the cracks of her fingers. ]

And yep.

[Hi hello yes that sure is his personal space. What is with cute girls getting in his personal space to touch the talisman. Why does this keep happening. He just kind of stands there with his hands up, waiting for her to finish. Please let this not be a trap and the talisman actually takes his head off.]

[A forcefield, huh? That's interesting. Vegeta has been stood by the cork board sign eavesdropping on this conversation so far but once Miata is done with the blessing... Well, best to check if it actually works.

Silently Vegeta raises a hand, points it at Hinata and fires a small ball of energy at Hinata. Not enough to kill even a weak human (Vegeta hopes) but hey, it should at least singe a little!]

[There's no way he's going to notice that burst of energy until it's too late. Spotting it out of the corner of his eye, he wheels in time to see it explode against the forcefield.

All he can really do is let out a high-pitched yell of surprise and fear as he stumbles back, tripping over his own feet to land on his butt -- but he's not hurt beyond said fall, and he's scrambling back to his feet as quick as he can.]

What the hell was that for?!

What if she hadn't been finished?!

[Oh my god Vegeta you can't just throw energy balls at people.]

That blast wouldn't have killed even a pathetic specimen like you. You'd have a broken rib and some burns, most likely, but I wouldn't have been put on trial for that.

[So it's all good. Vegeta thought everything through.]

[Can you hear that sarcasm, Vegeta. He's so unimpressed, and also still kind of terrified??]

And it didn't occur to you that injuring someone like me would just make me a better target if it didn't work? Broken ribs don't heal in a week, you know!
