seven vices week 1 ♫ monday - thursday Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice. "Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour." That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present. Curiously, anyone who has spoken with Miata for any period of time during the past week will notice that the voice coming from the television and her own do not match up. Come Tuesday, the footsteps around the void will begin drifting away from it. The pitter-patter of feet can be heard when standing outside the clinic and chapel as well. On top of the food that was added to the kitchen last week, spaghetti noodles and tomato sauce is now available. You're welcome, Papyrus. >Mingle? Not at all. Plus, my athletic ability is mostly crap. I had a friend who was good at it, but unfortunately I don't have that luxury here.

Yes--but I don't expect you to simply take me on my word. [She just felt like it was important that she state it.] I'd be happy to instruct you in whatever location you choose. We could practice in front of other people if that makes you feel better.

No, of course not. I'm not the type of girl to do that to begin with, anyway. [ Trusting people is hard. ] Then, I'd probably suggest either the hotel lobby, since it's way too goddamn cold outside.

The hotel lobby sounds like the best option, I agree. [There's absolutely no reason to be slipping around outside while you're trying to learn things.] ...Considering the situation this week, I imagine it's best we pick a specific time to meet and stay close to a clock.

[Seriously, she's pretty sure she's been here for several years. It's disorienting!]

How about early in the morning -- let's say, nine or ten, after breakfast? I'll keep an alarm in case I over or under sleep. I'll have to sync my laptop's time with the time here, since i don't think they're the same.
