week 0 - continuation
![]() ♫ tuesday - sunday With that revelation, things are sure to be more tense--or maybe, you prefer to go the hope route? Either way, the atmosphere of the town begins changing ever so subtly. Once in a while, you can feel someone staring at you from behind, though when you turn to check, no one will be there. Footsteps can also be heard echoing when one stands close to the void, even when alone....of course, no one will be there, either. As of Tuesday, extra food will be found in the kitchen. The ingredients are very based in Western cuisine: rye and wheat bread, potatoes, cabbage, beets, onions, cucumbers, assorted mushrooms, and the like are all supplied. In addition, there are also miscellaneous spices, eggs, milk, and an abundance of fish and pork. Various dishes made with the above ingredients will also be set out for anyone to take during lunch and dinner. A copy of the rulebook has been pinned to the front of the chapel, and a wooden sign now stands at the east edge of town near the clinic: Welcome to Lebensbaum | EST. 1623 | Population: ♜♜♜♜♜♜♜. The bonfire will be lit every night from 10PM to 6AM, after which it will extinguish on its own. >Mingle? This is the last open mingle for Week 0. No motives will be given until next Monday, and thus no murders will occur. Enjoy your last week of safety! When posting toplevels, specify the time and location. If you plan on having any private conversations between characters, remember to let us know in the post linked below. setting rulebook profiles private conversations |

Hotel Lobby, 3 PM
[ He can be found standing in the lobby, after being in his room, and truly, there was not much to do in there either, besides possibly write something or meditate. Both of which can be exhausted after a particular point in time. Regardless, if anyone does pass by and/or lingers, however, he seems to ask a single question. ]
... What do you plan to do, concerning the so-called updated circumstances of our situation?
Sunday
Chapel, 1 PM
[ He's inside the chapel. Perhaps he was hoping to find something, or maybe he is here for another reason in its entirety. Either way, he's been mulling over the entire situation for quite awhile now, and weighing it in comparison to the one he was dealing with before he arrived. In the end, he closes his eyes, even though he knew that trying to communicate with his goddess proved fruitless. Perhaps, it was now merely time for resignation. ]
lobby;
I don't intend to cooperate.

Admirable. We can only hope that the others will attempt to do the same. But, I do doubt some of them will be able to resist... or want to, for that matter.
no subject
[ Well. ]
All the same, we'll just have to be prepared to defend ourselves.
no subject
[ Or at least that's what he believes. But then again, he remembers the talisman... still, though. ]
... It will likely be best to not wander too far away from the premises late at night as well.
[ Or go alone into dark places. Buuuut he thought that one was obvious. ]

[Takao is leaning against a wall in the lobby, nudging a "plant" with his foot to see how realistically it reacts to the pressure.]
I don't know much about death and killing. I've never murdered before, I'm not starting now. But it's not like I know how to make our way out of here by force either... So all the ideas I have are like, we should get along, be honest with each other, stick together. Maybe have gatherings. And not just in that creepy little church when Miata's making announcements.
no subject
It's not exactly foolish. Perhaps there is something there can come out of bringing people together. If there is a delay in completing Miata's superior so-called 'task', we could be able to find a clue as to how to escape as well.
[ Although he's pessimistic, he is sort of hoping it might help. He's not a fan of violence. ]
no subject
The more people in a room, the more witnesses to ward off a crime, right? [He laughs, light with tense nerves that only tighten for the next sentence.] Give someone time to charge up a "magic spell" and take us home.
no subject
Heh. It would either take someone bold or foolish enough to do it during, or they would be forced to have to wait until afterwards where there is still a risk of them being caught due to others possibly likely lingering.
[ At the last one, however...it could be a plausible idea even though there was a low chance of it succeeding, he was willing to see if it would work. Anything to avoid senseless killing. ]
A spell like that would indeed take some time. Although I doubt it would be easy, it is worth looking into.

Tuesday
[But Sisuca hardly seems offended. It's something she's had time to think about, and the only negativity from her comes in the form of a small resigned sigh.]
I'm not going to hurt anyone, of course. I'd much rather make sure no one else gets hurt, especially since we have children with us.
no subject
[ ... ]
Do you believe everyone else will think the same?
no subject
[But.]
I know that sometimes good people do really, really terrible things, too.
[In other words, she'll give the benefit of the doubt to anyone, but she's seen what people can do when backed into a corner, too.]
no subject
[ And truly, he never liked it either when children were involved. They got into too many conflicts from where he came from, at any rate. ]
There are a myriad of people who likely have to take care of 'something' at their previous location, that requires immediate attention.

She doesn't want to disturb him, after all.
Though eventually, she breaks the silence.]
Are you all right?
[As..."all right" as any of them can be right now, anyway.]
no subject
...
As expected of one being entrapped in a situation like this, I am well enough. Everyone right now is undoubtedly feeling the same.
[ He manages not to be sarcastic, because, well, Selena undoubtedly cares, and he doesn't want to be rude or brush her off. However, he cannot help the wry smile. ]
And yourself? The next week is almost upon us.
no subject
The others might have some optimism, but Selena doesn't. She's seen the worst of what humanity is capable of when driven to it. She's pretty sure they're going to see some murders in time.]
... Yes. I am not concerned for myself, but...
[Her lips turn downwards.]
There are children here, and those who cannot defend themselves, and it is wrong for them to be in a situation such as this.

Win. I have someone precious I must protect.

I see. How do you plan on 'winning', then?

[He frowns slightly.]
I do not intend to meekly die, should someone else fail to resist temptation. I am needed by both my crew and my people.

[ Although he figures that before they even figure out something that might plausibly work, they will soon be trying to figure out why someone got knifed in the void. ]
... If we could successfully find an exit without lingering in this locale too long, whether by magic or something else entirely, however, that would be ideal.
no subject
It would. I have been attempting to unravel the mysteries of the void surrounding our location, but I'm afraid I have made little headway. And unfortunately, that is the only exit I can think of.

lobby;
[ Kurisu lets out a sigh, clearly more than perturbed by this whole thing... ]
We're all strangers here, so, there's no telling who we should and shouldn't trust. Pressed against a corner, I'm not convinced that someone will turn to something rash, and the idea of that is absolutely terrifying...as much as I'd like to think the majority of us are fairly rational individuals, it's human nature to go to extremes when pushed against the corner. If we all try to stay vigilant, the most we can hope for at this point is to stay on guard and see if we can stop anyone from doing anything hasty while we sort this out...
no subject
All we have at this point is hoping that someone does not give in, and that we either figure out a solution ourselves, perhaps by a spell of some sort or something else entirely. Of course there is the possibility that our kidnappers do give up on having us trying to murder each other for their own enjoyment if it should not go as planned on their part.
... Then there is the simple fact, that even if there are 'incentives', one would not be able to truly know if they would promise to deliver.
[ That is not to say someone would assume as such, but Dhaos does not. ]
