week 0 - continuation

seven vices week 0

tuesday - sunday

With that revelation, things are sure to be more tense--or maybe, you prefer to go the hope route? Either way, the atmosphere of the town begins changing ever so subtly. Once in a while, you can feel someone staring at you from behind, though when you turn to check, no one will be there. Footsteps can also be heard echoing when one stands close to the void, even when alone....of course, no one will be there, either.

As of Tuesday, extra food will be found in the kitchen. The ingredients are very based in Western cuisine: rye and wheat bread, potatoes, cabbage, beets, onions, cucumbers, assorted mushrooms, and the like are all supplied. In addition, there are also miscellaneous spices, eggs, milk, and an abundance of fish and pork. Various dishes made with the above ingredients will also be set out for anyone to take during lunch and dinner.

A copy of the rulebook has been pinned to the front of the chapel, and a wooden sign now stands at the east edge of town near the clinic: Welcome to Lebensbaum | EST. 1623 | Population: ♜♜♜♜♜♜♜. The bonfire will be lit every night from 10PM to 6AM, after which it will extinguish on its own.

....

.....

Okay.
dhaosu: (> go on)

[personal profile] dhaosu 2016-02-11 05:58 am (UTC)(link)
Now, we shall begin with the general rules...

[ Wow, insert long, and lengthy detailed explanation.

And theeeen... ]

Do you have any questions or comments?

What kind of punishment?
Edited (I can read. This is what I get for doing sleepy tags.) 2016-02-11 06:09 (UTC)

"Failure to obey certain rules will result in a punishment."

I presume you mean this portion.

To clarify, the information in the rules designates two rules that specify a punishment. The one involving attacking Miata, which I presume would be the same punishment you experienced last time you had did so -- that being coming face to face with that shield. However, I would not push your luck to find out if there is another punishment regarding that.

The second mention of a punishment occurring seems to be if you abstained from voting, your punishment would be 'death'.

[ Dhaos will inquire when he spots Miata next (or when it comes to mind), however, if breaking any other rules would result in a punishment. ]

As for anything else, it does not seem to imply there are punishments for breaking the other rules. Yet, we shall see if this is the case.

[Cheshire nods,] Does it say anything else?
dhaosu: (> listening)

[personal profile] dhaosu 2016-02-12 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
Anything else is described in the procedure rules.

[ Good thing Dhaos is thorough in his explanations and let us pretend he said the rest listed in the rulebook here. ]

And that appears to be all, regarding what was described in the rulebook for now. However, I do wish to reiterate that as it has mentioned before, more rules may be added at any time, whilst notifying us of the change.

Any more questions?

What if a body isn't found?
dhaosu: (> looking right at u)

[personal profile] dhaosu 2016-02-12 04:34 pm (UTC)(link)
...

[ He closes the book. ]

Hopefully, it won't even come to that. It is undoubted someone will attempt to hide the body so that they can possibly prolong the investigation. However, with the various talents of those in our group, their attempts would be for naught.

If you do not like my own answer, you could always ask Miata herself.

Many people seem very much against murder. I don't get it.
dhaosu: (> hm?)

[personal profile] dhaosu 2016-02-13 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
Usually humans do have an inclination towards violence. However, for now, they do not seeing as it is not beneficial to them, and even some of those who are not human would feel the same way.

[ ... ]

You would have to give it some time.

But wouldn't getting away with the murder be good?
dhaosu: colored in by me (> pah)

[personal profile] dhaosu 2016-02-13 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
It depends on every individual's circumstances. Whilst altogether being able to 'get away with murder' in this case may include going home, that would mean most of the time taking an innocent life.

...Of course, you seem like the type that would not see much bother in taking a life if it would mean returning home.

In that case, I would also like to remind you that even for those less hesitant to kill, that there are consequences should one get caught. That in of itself is death. However, in order to avoid that you have to deceive everyone, or the majority temporarily and place the blame or let everyone else believe it was someone else. This is reliant on others actually trusting you.

Not to mention, there is the assumption that those who kidnapped us would, in actuality, allow those who are 'retired' to leave this world and return to their own once this has all reached its climax. Indeed, it may seem like a good deal, however, they could simply claim that 'retirement' was only good for one game and not a guarantee one would be sent home. They could continue the cycle anew with whomever is surviving or 'retired', along with whatever new players they may bring.

[Cheshire takes a few moments to think about what is being said.

He just wants to be able to return home to protect the one most precious to him.]

I'm Cheshire. [He offers a clawed hand like he had seen some humans do before.] Protecting the Intention of the Abyss is the most important thing to me.
dhaosu: (> attempting to socialize)

[personal profile] dhaosu 2016-02-14 08:53 pm (UTC)(link)
...Dhaos.

[ He reaches out to place his hand against the clawed hand, and take it away. That will do in place of a handshake... because. Claws. ]

The most important to myself right now is simply to return home, and I am sure that shall be possible if one is careful enough.

[personal profile] smileleftbehind 2016-02-14 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Even if you don't play their game?
dhaosu: (> condescension)

[personal profile] dhaosu 2016-02-15 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
Hmph. Do not take me for a fool.

Someone shall kill and everyone will be forced to play for the trial. Eventually, our numbers will dwindle before an alternative means of an exit is revealed. Until then, however, it is what it is.
smileleftbehind: (Nya?)

[personal profile] smileleftbehind 2016-02-15 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
How do you think they will get the unwilling to kill?
dhaosu: (> reasoning seems to never work)

[personal profile] dhaosu 2016-02-15 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
They have odd, mysterious magic on their side. Not to mention, of course, this so-called talisman around our necks that we are unable to take off.

[ He brushes aside a few strands of his hair. ]

It shall come to no surprise to myself if they are able to make us lose some semblance of control, if not all of it. Humans are rather duplicitous and often use low-handed tricks in order to make sure they come out on top, after all.
smileleftbehind: (Nya?)

[personal profile] smileleftbehind 2016-02-15 10:35 pm (UTC)(link)
[He has nothing to say about that. Underhanded or not, he always wanted to be one. Hence the form he has now.] You are not human?
smileleftbehind: (heart-ache)

[personal profile] smileleftbehind 2016-02-15 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
[Cheshire shrugs,] I always wanted to be human.
dhaosu: colored in by me (> ?)

[personal profile] dhaosu 2016-02-15 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
... Why? Is it not so inconvenient?
smileleftbehind: (heart-ache)

[personal profile] smileleftbehind 2016-02-15 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
One of those most precious to me is a human. She was so kind and gentle. I liked playing with her, and if I was a human maybe I could have protected her better when she was alive. But I was just a cat.
dhaosu: (> twilight)

[personal profile] dhaosu 2016-02-18 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
...Then, I shall wish you well, and hope that you should not have to sacrifice much to make your wish come true.

And bide your time and hope.

[ It's the only thing he can say. After that, at least, and he takes care when he does, before he turns to make his leave. ]
