week 8 - trial; day 1

seven vices case 8 trial, day 1 ♫ saturday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 6PM, the trial will adjourn. Everyone will be escorted back to the hotel by Miata, after which everyone is allowed to head to either the kitchen to get dinner, or to their rooms. Attempting to wander off into the other areas of the hotel will trigger the static alarms in everyone's heads/televisions. >Discuss? victim   suspects      cast setting rulebook

That's not quite what I meant, but dully noted. Let me be clearer: are there bones simply lying around as described?

Oh yeah, those things can last forever. I have a drawer full of Papyrus's bones back home that are probably still there.

[Beat.] I mean I would. If I hadn't burned my house down recently.

[ This at least clears up what Break had been wondering, so that's more or less his curiosity satisfied with weird bone creating powers. But. This is Undyne, so that last part definitely gets him to pause. He looks like he's debating whether to ask or not, but curiosity gets the best of him. ]

[Then she whips her head around to make sure Papyrus isn't paying attention, claps Break firmly on the shoulder, and just gives him a look that says:

[ The loudness is about what he expects, but getting the clasp on the shoulder is much more of a surprise. Break even flinches lightly, since it's unexpected, but of course the Meaningful Look is something he completely misses. But getting this kind of grip on the shoulder, could it be...? ]

That's not a manner of being a "wuss"—whatever that is, that's a matter of being a normal human, I'd like to point out.

Yeah, a normal human weenie! I once faced a human kid in battle in the burning remains of my own house, and they didn't complain at all! Maybe you're just a whiner!

It's not necessarily a matter of appearances... It's possible for someone to be human, but not actually be human, you know. That's why I ask, since that's definitely not something a normal person could do.
