seven vices case 7 - investigation ♫ friday On Friday morning, the loss of the motive isn't terribly noticeable. As there were no mental effects this week, and everyone had taken their envelopes to at least destroy them, it's almost impossible to tell that something is off. Unless of course you're getting up in the wee hours. Perhaps just to go to the bathroom? Whatever your reason, though, something is noticeably wrong--the power is out. >Investigate? cast setting

[GROOOOOSSSSSSSS Clover just kind of gingerly steps around it as much as possible but really, worse has happened. Worse has been scraped off her shoes. There are no organs this time? That's a win, as far as murdergames go.]

This is gonna suck. [And without further ado because self control is a myth forever, she goes right into the general store, flashlight out. WHERE'S THE BLOOD GO TO]

[WELL. It's not a set of charred up people so this is already an improvement over last murder.]

Eh... maybe it's not so bad?

[It's gonna be bad isn't it.]

( Hmmm, the blood doesn't appear to go into the store, actually. But before entering, they might notice splatters of blood on the outer wall of the store.

That said, while there's nothing in the store, check it out inside! )

[All right, what the hell.

Clover shines the flashlight around a little from where she stands in the entrance, and when she sees nothing of note, follows the blood splatters to see if there's anything cool/terrible around that corner. Because investigating gore and horror takes precedence over anything else, of course.]

[Yeah that's actually really distracting.]

...I'm guessing something not so good happened here.

( If Clover or Poland very carefully at the ground, they'll find a tooth. )

[It takes her a minute but Clover notices whatever the thing is, stoops down to pick it up, squints at it real close, then shrieks and flings it back onto the ground.]

That was a tooth! Ew, ew, ew, ew, ew!

Oh my god-- [This is worse than a murder.

Someone's smile has been irreparably damaged.]

[Poland somehow has a piece of tissue in her hand from seemingly nowhere. She's just gonna pick that up again.

Does it look bloody and knocked out? Are there more signs of a struggle occurring here than bloody wall splatters?]

( It definitely looks bloody and knocked out. And there's nothing else to see about the blood outside the wall. )

Oh my gooooddd, I touched it, I touched iiiiit! [WAVES HER HAND AROUND THIS IS TERRIBLE] Ew, ew, ew! [She's just gonna bring her tiny tantrum into the general store now. Gonna get some flashlights for the rest of the crew! And also complain some more.]

Wash your hands off in the snow! [Poland's following. With said tooth. Blech.]

I'm guessing there was a fight and somebody's tooth got knocked out... gross.

( The general store looks okay. At the very least, there isn't any blood. They'll find their flashlights just fine but wait!

All of the chains are missing. )

Why the snow?! That's not gonna help! [WHYYYYYYY

Clover's just gonna gather up every single flashlight into a basket and just take those, is that cool. It better be. No one she doesn't like gets flashlights.

It takes her a second, but...]

...The chains are missing. [oh no]

It'll help a little! [DO they keep sanitizer in here at all use that.]

Oh. Um. Okay...

So. They stole all the chains. And punched a person. Who... bled all over leading back to the hotel.

[Where are the chains.]

( Where are the chains is a good question... But there's nothing else to find in the store! However, they may have noticed while they were outside earlier that the trail of blood continues beyond the general store so maybe they'll want to go out and follow that. )

Probably something like that... Bleck. [where are the chains

but DAMN RIGHT THEY'RE GONNA FOLLOW THAT or at least, Clover is, after a moment of shining her flashlight further forward and seeing that the blood trail definitely goes more places.]

Ugh. Okay, this is gonna suck. [And she is charging boldly forward!]

[Poland follows too-- but is on the look out for more teeth. She's sweating but. You know.

Teeth aren't so bad in the grand scheme of body parts really. I mean. They bleed a little bit but they're not you know. Like a kidney.]

Maybe one of us masquerades as a psycho tooth fairy at night.

( The trail of blood drops and splatters goes past the general store, towards the clothing store. There are splatters of blood on the wall outside the clothing store too but what's more, the trail continues to the record store as well.. )

[Eeyyyy ladies, what's up? Bill's finally managed to stumble out of the hotel in that power outage and followed this neat little blood trail and wouldn't you know it, here you guys are at the end of it!]

Well good morning! What a howdy-do from our murderer, huh? Did you guys find anything more interesting than this trail here?

[SQUINTS REAL HARD, why are you so goddamn chipper why didn't we kill you the other week]

A tooth. Way more blood.

...And the chains are missing from the general store.

[Holding up said tooth. Bill will like this she bets.]

[Well teeth are his favorite thing so you bet he likes them. And he's chipper because what is there to be UNchipper about huh?

He's just going to lean in to look at it, pretty excited about this find.]

[MAYBE ALL OF THE BLOOD AND DYING????]

Yyeeeah. You two have fun with that. [SHE'S SUPER NOT HERE TO WATCH BILL GET ALL WORKED UP ABOUT THE TEETH???] I dunno, but the blood trail goes that way towards the record store, so I'm gonna go check that out. There's a lot of ground to cover. C'mon. [Grandpa's cool, she'll investigate with grandpa.]

[ Now that he can actually see (it's no fun being near deaf and in the dark), he finds his way to Poland and Clover.]

I doubt she'll let you keep it. This isn't really a scavenger hunt. [...well maybe it is, but active murders were a bit different weren't they?]

[ Grandpa will tag along, and he sort of ambles after Clover, since she's good at helping out the blind man. ]

Why do the murders only get more extravagant as the weeks go on, I wonder...
