seven vices case 7 - investigation ♫ friday On Friday morning, the loss of the motive isn't terribly noticeable. As there were no mental effects this week, and everyone had taken their envelopes to at least destroy them, it's almost impossible to tell that something is off. Unless of course you're getting up in the wee hours. Perhaps just to go to the bathroom? Whatever your reason, though, something is noticeably wrong--the power is out. >Investigate? cast setting

I'm guessing there was a fight and somebody's tooth got knocked out... gross.

( The general store looks okay. At the very least, there isn't any blood. They'll find their flashlights just fine but wait!

All of the chains are missing. )

Clover's just gonna gather up every single flashlight into a basket and just take those, is that cool. It better be. No one she doesn't like gets flashlights.

Oh. Um. Okay...

So. They stole all the chains. And punched a person. Who... bled all over leading back to the hotel.

( Where are the chains is a good question... But there's nothing else to find in the store! However, they may have noticed while they were outside earlier that the trail of blood continues beyond the general store so maybe they'll want to go out and follow that. )

but DAMN RIGHT THEY'RE GONNA FOLLOW THAT or at least, Clover is, after a moment of shining her flashlight further forward and seeing that the blood trail definitely goes more places.]

Ugh. Okay, this is gonna suck. [And she is charging boldly forward!]

[Poland follows too-- but is on the look out for more teeth. She's sweating but. You know.

Teeth aren't so bad in the grand scheme of body parts really. I mean. They bleed a little bit but they're not you know. Like a kidney.]

Maybe one of us masquerades as a psycho tooth fairy at night.

( The trail of blood drops and splatters goes past the general store, towards the clothing store. There are splatters of blood on the wall outside the clothing store too but what's more, the trail continues to the record store as well.. )

[Eeyyyy ladies, what's up? Bill's finally managed to stumble out of the hotel in that power outage and followed this neat little blood trail and wouldn't you know it, here you guys are at the end of it!]

rhys is making his way to the others with break, the small circle in the palm of his hand lit up to be used as a flashlight. he holds it up as he sees the group, shining the light to see exactly who they are and when he spots the pink -- ]

[ also, he's just wearing one shoe. he's totally going to step in blood. ]

[ At least there's one person here who isn't bothered by the lights being out... Break navigates with no problem as he follows along after Clover, though as Rhys comes to join this mess of a search party, he does look in his direction with a mildly incredulous look. Only mildly, though, since he can't really say this is a huge surprise. ]

Ah, be careful, Rhys~. It sounds like you might step in something unfortunate this week if you aren't careful~.

[ As they navigate their way to the store, there's (what else) more blood around the doorway of the shop. Fun.

And there's also faint music coming from the inside. Hmm. ]

Have you checked up your ass yet? [Followed by a quiet snicker; thank you, sassy grandpa, for getting what she's about. She stops sharply in front of the doorway, though, and lowers her voice. Listen, she's capable of speaking at a volume that isn't screaming!! Incredible.]

Do you guys hear that? [pppppause, to give them a chance to hear the music.] Rhys, you open the door.

[ the most indignant squawk but okay!! whatever!! and now he's going to passive aggressively mumble as he pushes past clover to grab the door handle. ]

Stupid kids and their stupid stupidness -- [ BUT ANYWAY ] Look, no one's gonna kill us if people are already dead. But I guess between the underage and the elderly, someone has to be the adult here.

[ rhys, you're an asshole. he's going to open the door and if nothing immediately happens, head inside. ]

[ Now that he can actually see (it's no fun being near deaf and in the dark), he finds his way to Poland and Clover.]

I doubt she'll let you keep it. This isn't really a scavenger hunt. [...well maybe it is, but active murders were a bit different weren't they?]

The only way to know for sure is if we go to the clothing store and look for more teeth.

Plus he just doesn't know if he can deal with the heartache of looking over all of those ruined outfits...what if the shiny stuff is covered? How do you wash blood out of that? Can you wash blood out of that kind of material??]
