week 7
![]() 24 players remaining ♫ monday - thursday Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by Katerina's calm, albeit disinterested, voice. "Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour." That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present. After hearing the motive, characters who choose to explore will find that the void around the town has retracted a bit, and there is now a park and playground next to the clinic. >Mingle? This is Week 7's mingle log, covering Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. Investigations will go up on Friday. When posting toplevels, specify the time and location. If you plan on having any private conversations between characters, remember to let us know in the post linked below. More plot elements will be introduced this week. Mod comments will be occasionally distributed to open toplevels, accordingly. setting rulebook profiles private conversations |

—Never mind.
[That's more of a mumble than anything... He's giving her a curious look now, though! Someone remind him he still needs to change into a shirt instead of wearing a tiny maid dress over a pair of pants.]
What's paluszki?
no subject
It's like. Snack sticks. They're really good, I could totally eat them all day.
no subject
Snack sticks? [?!??] I've never heard of anything like that before. But if they're sticks...
[Maybe he can like, trick himself into thinking they're cigarettes!]
no subject
I'll teach you how to make some if you want. [Gilbert likes to cook.
You can just carry them around and when you feel stressed, just shove it in your mouth.
no subject
But! That sounds like it might work...!]
I wouldn't mind learning. [Because even if it doesn't work--] I'd like to bring the recipes I've learned here back with me so I can share them with Oz, anyway.
no subject
Let's go!
no subject
[A SIGH as he starts to head for the door, but wait--]
...I still need to get out of this dress!
no subject
Don't rip it, it's cute.
no subject
[Because he will 100% rip it otherwise.]
no subject
Lift your arms straight up!
no subject
Thanks.
[It's going to be a tight fit off but at least she doesn't have to worry about getting any zippers or buttons, since none of them closed in the first place.]

One time. My friend Hungary wore one of Austria's dresses because he thought it would be really funny if I saw it. It totally was. And then he got stuck. Which was actually even funnier because then he panicked.
So then we had to do this, because if he ripped it she would have ripped him a new one. You're not as big as he is though but. [And fwoosh! The dress is off.] You're still pretty!

He's also looking caught somewhere between irritated and flustered and perhaps a little grateful in a bizarre way for the compliment. HE WANTS TO BE COOL AND MANLY, POLAND, NOT PRETTY!! But it's still a nice thing to say, okay. And for that reason, with a little huff:]
If you really think it's that nice, I don't mind if you wear it. [...] But you'll have to take good care of it, since it-- kind of belonged to someone important. [.......] Well - it was stolen and worn for only a day, but...
[It just keeps getting weirder.]
no subject
I can? [Aw. Yes.]
I'll keep good care of it! I'll even put it away in my drawer. I promise!
no subject
[Now he'll just go get a damn shirt so he doesn't have to disgrace himself any further.]
no subject
[Poland can watch this part right?]
no subject
Technically it belongs to the Duke Barma... But Oz borrowed it for a day.
no subject
Who's Oz?
[Come on Gilbert hurry up and get dressed so she can make you snacks.]
no subject
Oz is my master.
no subject
...
Like. BSDM?
no subject
He'll glance backward with mild confusion in response to that WEIRD QUESTION, though.]
I'm not sure what that means. [HE'S OLD.] But I've been working as his valet since I was young.
no subject
So... yeah! Totally BSDM!]
He means a lot to you then?
no subject
But since he doesn't, he just nods...]
Oz is-- ...To me, he was a light when I needed one the most. He's a very important person.
[EMBARRASSING.]
no subject
Gilbert only reminds her of her purest friendships.]
Wow. That's like!
I like that. [She nods her head. Yeah.] That was really nice. [Poland wishes she could talk like that.]
no subject
But there's - a rare, little fleeting Gilbert smile in response to that! There and gone in an instant, but congrats, Poland is like the second person all game to get one.]
It's only the truth, that's all.
