seven vices week 7

24 players remaining

monday - thursday

Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by Katerina's calm, albeit disinterested, voice.

"Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour."

That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present.

After hearing the motive, characters who choose to explore will find that the void around the town has retracted a bit, and there is now a park and playground next to the clinic.

>Mingle?

This is Week 7's mingle log, covering Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. Investigations will go up on Friday.

When posting toplevels, specify the time and location. If you plan on having any private conversations between characters, remember to let us know in the post linked below.

More plot elements will be introduced this week. Mod comments will be occasionally distributed to open toplevels, accordingly.

There are leagues for women as well. They aren't as publicized as the men's teams, but I can beat most men, myself. [She seems proud of that. Laima returns the basketball to them!]

You can? [ Sounding impressed! Lithuania is almost as cool as Poland.

She grabs the basketball and fiddles with it for a moment before trying to copy Lithuania's stance. It's a pretty lazy and poor version and when she throws the ball, it falls a few feet in front of them. ]
Oh my God, that's hard.

You need to put more energy into it, or it won't go as far as you want it to. [A tough task for Sadie, probably, but Lithuania believes in her. Laima will nudge the ball back over. She probably doesn't need to, but she likes bringing the ball back.]

[ Laima is a true friend...

Sadie nods and grabs it. This time she stares hard at the ball, hoping to threaten it into going farther. She pushes the ball out from her chest this time and gives a grunt of exertion. It goes a little farther. ]
And you run around while doing this?
herbgrace: (I'm doing fine)

In a game, yes. [She's pretty sure Sadie would pass out, though...] It's not everyone's cup of tea, of course.

Try bending your knees more and bouncing up like you're trying to put all of the energy in your body into your arm when you let go of the ball.

[ She suddenly has a new appreciation for Lithuania. Someone who can do this must be ridiculously strong... ]

I don't think I've bounced in years. [ This is probably true. She closes her eyes and tries to spiritually do what Lithuania says, then actually does it. She bends her knees and bounces up as she throws it. It goes higher and farther but still not close to the basket.

She is panting, though. ]
Wow, this is an actual workout. I can see why you eat.

[Improvement! But hopefully Sadie doesn't pass out from overexertion or something. Laima will bring the ball back over regardless.] Yes, eating does help provide the energy for this sort of thing.

[ She is still out of breath and just passes the ball to Lithuania. ] You do it for a bit. Ugh, I think I sprained something.
