seven vices week 7 24 players remaining ♫ monday - thursday Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by Katerina's calm, albeit disinterested, voice. "Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour." That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present. After hearing the motive, characters who choose to explore will find that the void around the town has retracted a bit, and there is now a park and playground next to the clinic. >Mingle? This is Week 7's mingle log, covering Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. Investigations will go up on Friday. When posting toplevels, specify the time and location. [ Always meeting up at the clothing store. ]

You did? Thanks. I don't really know how to change my name and get people to listen after this long.

[Nod.] You said your name is Charlotte now, so that's what I'll call you. [Even if no one else gets it, he does.]

People here are stubborn, but if you tell them they should listen to you. [He'd actually be insulted on her behalf if they didn't.]

[earie]

[ This is probably the friendliest Yoite has been. ] I figure I might as well make them.

But it's a ton of work, I've had to talk to too many people. Did you know we have, like, probably over ten people here?

[okuri]

[Hey, he's pretty firm on the few beliefs he has.]

There are too many people here. [ That much they agree on too-- especially for his loner self.]

[earie]

Right? Every time there's a trial it's like, who? [ She shakes her head and starts to get back to looking for clothes. ]

Which I guess is, you know, good. You're safe this week at least.

[okuri]

They always make it very dramatic too. [ Though he supposes last trial he helped contribute to that by instigating Clover.]

I'm not sure why, though. [ But small blessings, he guesses? He has mixed feelings about it.]

[earie]

Way too dramatic. We should all just talk about it, like, around a big table and no one gets super excited and loud. [ Stop being upset about murder everyone. ]

The people watching us probably like you, anyway. You're not annoying.

[okuri]

That would be impossible, most people here are too soft. [ It would be a nice change though, but he can't imagine them agreeing to it. Again, Clover comes to mind and he frowns momentarily.]

... [ Upon hearing the semi-compliment, he freezes. It's not a direct compliment (he thinks), so he can almost shrug it off.]

I'd rather not be noticed by them at all.

[earie]

Probably. But you know, if you go do the room searches, you can catch a nap. It's what I've been doing. [ She figures this is precious advice. ]

It's not like they're the ones actually doing the killing. Might as well get noticed and protected.

[okuri]

I usually do them, but I'd rather search thoroughly. I would prefer the trials ended sooner rather than be dragged out like they normally do. [ A certain cat wedding comes to mind.]

I'd rather protect myself. [ Because he hates owing people anything.]

[earie]

We never find anything in the rooms, anyway. No one's going to be stupid enough for that now.

[ That sounds very tough. Yoite must be a tough guy despite how he looks. ] Yeah? Can you do the same for me? Because I'm super killer-bait.

[okuri]

...just a lot of glitter. [ She has a point and he remembers Clover's room vividly, that was a disaster.]

I'm not good at protecting people. [ A beat.] There are easier targets here than you though. [ Which is awkwardly the kind of reassurance he can offer, but it's the truth. Hopefully it's a bit of help, as he does have killer's eyes for better or worse.]

[earie]

[ That is good reassurance but she doesn't quite believe it. ] Like who?

[okuri]

Clover and Rhys to start.

[earie]

Hm. [ Thinking about it. She can see why. ] Rhys is part robot, though. He might be hard to kill.

Do you think it's easy to kill skeletons?

[okuri]

He still has a heart and bleeds, doesn't he? [ This may or may not be important information.]

...I don't know, I wouldn't know where to begin.

[earie]

I feel like if you just... grabbed some of their bones. And pulled them out. [ Is this how bones work. ]

[okuri]

Maybe. Until one of them dies we won't know. [ Seemed like too much work, he'd rather go with a safer alternative.]
