seven vices week 7 24 players remaining ♫ monday - thursday Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by Katerina's calm, albeit disinterested, voice. "Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour." That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present. After hearing the motive, characters who choose to explore will find that the void around the town has retracted a bit, and there is now a park and playground next to the clinic. >Mingle? This is Week 7's mingle log, covering Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. Investigations will go up on Friday. When posting toplevels, specify the time and location. [ now this is where it gets embarrassing and rhys goes a little red. ]

But I can understand the emotion! I know we're friends! Isn't that right, Dumpy?

[ HORRIBLE ROBOT SHRIEKING HERE. ]

[AAAH HE'S SO CONCERNED FOR THIS ROBOT. He's also mildly concerned for Rhys, who's either A) lying about being friends with a screaming robot named Dumpy or B) somehow able to decipher what emotion horrible shrieking translates into.]

...Is that a happy sound? It sounds a little bit like the last scream.

[Maybe Dumpy is just always happy?!]

[ stop being so concerned for him! and dumpy! dumpy is a pure robot who means well even though at gilbert's question, he lets out another scream that maybe a little sounds like help. wow, that's definitely not what it meant at all, huh?? ]

It is a happy sound! Are you questioning my friendship with my robot? You just met him! You don't even know him! At least take the time to get to know him first!

[ he sounds all flustered and embarrassed about his robot friendship now. thanks, gilbert. ]

[WHY DID IT JUST ASK FOR HELP. He's not feeling any less concerned?! If anything, he's just feeling More Concerned.]

Er-- No, I wasn't! I'm sure you know him best. [RAISING BOTH HANDS CALM DOWN RHYS. He's sorry for doubting and making you feel uncomfortable...]

I've just never seen anything like that before, that's all.

[ rhys, dumpy's name is dover and might actually be a real person trapped in a robot body so you don't actually know shit.

Well, it's uh... it's a machine! Like the televisions or the fridge or whatever. But also, they have uhm. [ ??? ] A soul! So they think and act and talk just like us. They just have different bodies. Fake bodies. Made of metal.

[That description is honestly terrifying?!]

A soul?! [It sounds like Chains from the Abyss?? Do robots just form them?! This is dangerous.] Er-- Can anything metal form a soul?

[ time to feel MORE FEAR, gilbert, because rhys just shrugs. ]

I don't know? I guess if you give it a brain, sure.

[ robots are going to enslave humanity and rhys is just gonna be like well, they're cuter than us so it's okay. ]
