week 5 - day 2 trial
![]() ♫ sunday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 6PM, the trial will adjourn, after which everyone is expected to have cast their votes. >Discuss? I believe Lucy could feasibly be an accomplice in that situation, then.
[ He can't really see that human as the ring leader, or rather, as the true culprit. ]
Whomever tampered with the trap would have the true intent to kill, correct?

Let us say someone did notice Cheshire attempting to enact his plan. I am thinking it's possible that individual conferred with another to cause it to backfire. Therefore, if Lucy was an accomplice to that someone... that someone could very well be Clover Field.
[ ... ]
I realize you do not wish to hear this. But I am willing to hear who you think it is as well.

[Who is the small pink attack chihuahua now?]

[ Listen, it's acceptable when Lucy does it. He's only saying 'I see' though so it doesn't segue into another argument. ]

Even if Lucy were the type, I can't see Clover willingly putting Lucy at risk like that. I'd expect her to be the one to... get caught in it, instead, if that were truly the case.
I don't know for sure who it would be, but if we keep narrowing it down, we'll have to arrive at the truth.

Perhaps that could be the case. If anything, pursuing the evidence or testimony further may prove to glean something more as to who could have been a much more likely candidate.
Although it's worth noting Clover did tell Lucy numerous times that 'she should have waited', if that bears mentioning. So it could be a case of something indeed going wrong not just in Cheshire's case.
[ But he is not saying that he has made his complete decision in stone, yet. Even now he realizes it's too early for that. ]

[ He could try arguing with her about this but he just narrows his eyes at her remembering her words from yesterday...
'--assuming we aren't lucky enough to have someone kill you first!'
...and turns away. ]

Lucy may not have been stupid, but surely she must have been desperate to make sure it went off. Otherwise she would not have lit the matches at that time, correct?

I'm only bringing up a possibility. I have no stake to claim in this game anymore. I can't even vote for anyone.

[Satori says this with a quiet sort of anger.]

In that case, Papyrus and Sans should count as animals too! Papyrus even plays fetch automatically when you throw a stick at him! [skeletons...animals...same thing]

She looks pretty damn satisfied when she sits back down, no fits pitched at all.]

An accomplice?! There's no way I'm anything like that! I was as caught up in that explosion as he was.

... There were matches lit, and Cheshire could not do so by himself given his clawed hands. If there was no third person and no one else could have feasibly been able to thrown one into the room then... how else would that happen?

[That's... all she has to say.]
