Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice.

"Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour."

That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present.

After hearing the motive, characters who choose to explore will find that the void around the town has retracted a bit, and there is now a police station to the far east of the chapel. On the chapel wall near the altar, black and white portraits of Youko, Zelos, and Morrigan have been hung up.

Anyone looking for them will find that Youko's pink shoes and the fragments of Zelos's crystal are now gone.

This is Week 4's mingle log, covering Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. Investigations will go up on Friday.

[Well it's easier to get Dhaos to dance than it would be Lithuania!]

All the more reason to dance!

[Poland's quick to jump up and start shoving things out of the way.]

[ Most people who would have asked Dhaos he would have turned down, ok. ]

I suppose you are correct in that manner.

[ Once they're finished, he begins to move just so towards her, and holds out his hand to the other blond. ]

[Oh my god, Poland's ascended to Dhaos' dance partner.

Oh and he's gonna be all fancy about it. Ooh.]

[Poland curtsies, properly.

Then takes Dhaos' hand. She guesses she'll let him lead.

This time.]

So. You're a king and you haven't danced in a while?

I...

[ He seems to pause, possibly considering in her wording, but deciding it's fine, as her hand is taken within his own and the other goes to proper, respective location. He begins to cautiously, yet carefully lead her. ]

I have not, no. It has been such a long time since I have been in such a position to do so at all-- perhaps a hundred or so years. You, on the other hand, seem to partake in such an activity often?

Well that sucks. I mean. Unless you don't like dancing-- you seem pretty good at it though.

[Of course Poland is also pretty good at piano, but this week in particular she doesn't care for it.]

I get invited to a lot of political functions and whatnots so. I mean. Dancing is a lot easier than always making conversation with strangers? I'm not very good at that...

It is alright enough, I suppose.

[ He hasn't had the leisurely time to indulge so much in dancing...or a dance partner for that matter. At the thought, he needs to pause for a second to make sure he doesn't make a miss-step, but then resumes soon enough. ]

... I am surprised to hear you say. You seemed like someone who was rather adept at conversation, whether you knew one or not.

[ He is bad at casual conversation too with others... especially people he doesn't know. But he's been Trying. ]

You think so?

[Poland actually flushes really pink at that. Ha ha... when has anyone ever told her she was a good conversationalist?

Never? At least not initially anyways.]

No um. I get really flustered at first. And my heart beat sort of just ends up really loud in my head and I can't hear what I'm thinking anymore...

It's either not saying anything at all or blurting out something really odd...

["I don't want to die here."]

It's hard though at first. For me at least. For some reason.

[She's really happy with the compliment. Maybe she's getting better at it finally? That would be nice.]

[ Dhaos is a little taken aback, there. He thought for sure Poland easily was able to talk up individuals here or there. Then again, he didn't think it was out of her behavior to even spout out that one line when after he had finished playing that one time (thinking it was due to the stressful situation)... ]

Talking to those you do not know or have never met can be difficult, especially if you do not trust them. Either way, I cannot say I am unfamiliar to that very same struggle.

[ Talking to HUMANS... for example...but. He has been able to start to carry along conversation better as well-- or so he would like to think. ]

[She has a lot of tricks she's picked up along the way that help her out, but she's still pretty prone to blurting out things.]

You could call it that. Before arriving here, it had been quite a very long since I engaged in a conversation with someone who did not entertain malicious intentions. Therefor, I became unwilling to socialize with most.

[ He used to be better at socializing, though. Hundreds of years ago... ]

[She's been there, bro. Ugh. Prussians. Russians. Austrians. Germans.

The struggle is real.]

I know what that feels like.

You don't have anyone you like at home though? [No wonder he doesn't dance.]

... No. Not anymore, if you are inferring what I believe you mean.

[ ...and that is all there is to it, really. At least someone seems to have experienced the same at least. ]
