seven vices week 4 28 players remaining ♫ monday - thursday Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice. "Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour." That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present. After hearing the motive, characters who choose to explore will find that the void around the town has retracted a bit, and there is now a police station to the far east of the chapel. On the chapel wall near the altar, black and white portraits of Youko, Zelos, and Morrigan have been hung up. Anyone looking for them will find that Youko's pink shoes and the fragments of Zelos's crystal are now gone. >Mingle? This is Week 4's mingle log, covering Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. [IGNORING THE SWEARING. Clover you test her grandma sensibilities but she honestly has the patience of a saint so it's okay. Lucy is helping with all this baking because it's something to do and also she has been dragged to this sleepover. Not like she would have said no if she was actually asked for real.

She rushes to the oven so Clover doesn't have to use her skill: balance to juggle a mixing bowl and a hot tray.]

How many people are we feeding again?

[Lucy is too pure for this nonsense, but every now and again Clover has the self-awareness to censor a swear out with a humming noise. Sometimes it happens. Not often.]

I lost count. [She didn't actually make a count in the first place, she's not really sure how many people are attending team girl sleepover? Making cookies just seemed like a fun time. She sidesteps out of the way so Lucy can get the oven; thanks, friend.] Worst-case scenario, we have a ton of extra cookies! Do those ones look done?

[Clover is truly the best bro. It takes effort to radio edit yourself.]

They do, you're really quite good at this. I'm used to simpler recipes. [Like. Gingersnaps and only gingersnaps. Also she's taking them out to let them cool next to the other collection of baked goods.]

We could give them to others afterwards if there are.

We could also eat them all ourselves. [She mmmmiiiight be joking?] But I bet people'll be interested.

[Still balancing her mixing bowl, she's already rooting through lower cabinets for another baking tray so she doesn't have to clean any of the ones she's used.] I do a lot of this at work, so it's kinda like second nature. [But "quite good"! Compliments from people she actually likes are always exciting, she's even bouncier than before all of a sudden.]

[Lucy hums at the suggestion like it's seriously up for consideration. Of course the answer is them eating all of this Thursday. The track record is pretty obvious now what is going to happen Friday morning, they need comfort cookies.]

I guess that's an option. It would be a waste to do nothing with them at all. [The fakest compromise voice. She is down for cookie eating.]

I have't cooked so much in ages, it's a bit of a work out. [cooking for two is so much easier than tons.]

[Lucy understands what Clover's about and she appreciates that.]

Yeah, but it's something to do and it's way worth it. Maybe we could make this, like, a thing. Every Thursday and, I dunno, Monday, huge cookie batches.

[And then we eat them all.]

...Maybe not this much but still!

That sounds like a great idea, actually. Something sweet to end the week. [Instead of something bloody. Hopefully. Maybe.]

One batch in the future should be enough.
