seven vices week 4

28 players remaining

monday - thursday

Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice.

"Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour."

That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present.

After hearing the motive, characters who choose to explore will find that the void around the town has retracted a bit, and there is now a police station to the far east of the chapel. On the chapel wall near the altar, black and white portraits of Youko, Zelos, and Morrigan have been hung up.

Anyone looking for them will find that Youko's pink shoes and the fragments of Zelos's crystal are now gone.

This is Week 4's mingle log, covering Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. Investigations will go up on Friday.

When posting toplevels, specify the time and location. If you plan on having any private conversations between characters, remember to let us know in the post linked below.

More plot elements will be introduced this week. Mod comments will be occasionally distributed to open toplevels, accordingly.

symbologic: and asked him if he wanted to fuck in a spaceship. (smirk ☄ I put purple lights under my bed)

[How the fuck to Break and Gilbert's ages work? Faize still hasn't been able to figure that out. Faize laughs a little.]

Yes, you and Gilbert do seem to have some sort of complication when it comes to time. That much I can tell from your profiles alone. And I did not mean to discredit myself, it was merely a statement of fact. Though I train very hard and would hardly call myself a slouch in a fight, I my experience is lacking in comparison to those who have had hundreds or even thousands of years to train. To say nothing of beings like Urashima.

[Literally a sword. You cannot be better than literally a sword.]

So am I correct in assuming that the blade concealed in your cane is your weapon of choice when it comes to swords? Or is it more of a knife?
crazily: please do not take! (no krispy kreme for you doge)

[ to be fair, they really haven't either... ]

Ahh, I suppose that is fair enough.

[ He nods to concede the point, but then laughs at the question lightly. ]

That's correct~. I used to carry one at my side, but that's become a bit of a faux-pas. So— [ His grip on the cane's handle shifts, and a latch seems to unhook so that he can pull the handle up. It shows a hint of silver as he reveals the blade, but he doesn't withdraw it all the way. ]

This suffices well enough.
symbologic: That way it's like an intellectual glory hole. (happy ☄ Do it through the bookshelves.)

[smh, Pandora Hearts cast...]

[Not that Break can see it, but Faize's expression lights up somewhat as he demonstrates how his cane works.]

Fascinating! [At least to him. Since he is too sci-fi for something like this.] Not to mention exceedingly practical. I've never seen blades concealed in such a way.

Though...I must admit, now that we are actually discussing it, I am somewhat curious. You are blind, are you not? [Those sketches from Kurisu's murder were, uh...off. In that specific sort of way that can't really be attributed to poor art skills. Which katar totally did not forget about until just now, NOPE.] I assume that your other senses are much stronger, as a means of compensation, but...even so, it must be difficult to fight with a sword if you cannot see our opponent.

[What is daredeviling. Please explain, Break. The reference is lost on him.]
crazily: please do not take! (oh and lingerie. lots of lingerie.)

[ Break doesn't leave the silver of the blade exposed for long, since it slides it back into the cane and clicks it closed. It's stated clearly on his profile, but he's still just used to the idea of keeping it as much of a secret as possible. It's usually an ace for him for people to not know that it's a sword, and old habits are hard to break. ]

It's not very common, to be fair~. Most blade that could be hidden in a blade aren't very good quality, but I put a little more expense into mine.

[ probably??? who knows don't question it ]

Ahh, but I am, yes~. I don't like to advertise it, mind you! I don't like people taking pity on me or trying to help out with things that I don't need help with. [ translation: he's a stubborn old man ] But as for fighting, it's not so difficult. It's merely an adjustment to what senses you rely on. I can feel how things shift in the air, hear how things move, or even smell a person nearby to judge how close they are. Though it took some adjustment, certainly.
