week 4
![]() 28 players remaining ♫ monday - thursday Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice. "Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour." That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present. After hearing the motive, characters who choose to explore will find that the void around the town has retracted a bit, and there is now a police station to the far east of the chapel. On the chapel wall near the altar, black and white portraits of Youko, Zelos, and Morrigan have been hung up. Anyone looking for them will find that Youko's pink shoes and the fragments of Zelos's crystal are now gone. >Mingle? This is Week 4's mingle log, covering Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. Investigations will go up on Friday. When posting toplevels, specify the time and location. If you plan on having any private conversations between characters, remember to let us know in the post linked below. More plot elements will be introduced this week. Mod comments will be occasionally distributed to open toplevels, accordingly. setting rulebook profiles private conversations |
then it surely will
Nothin' much. Just tryin' to match regret moments to peeps. [ Shrugs. ] So, no, not really. Just figured it could help, come trial time.

Ah, I see. That's a sensible course of action. Even if it's...rather a bleak outlook to have.
[Maybe they won't murder this week? Mayb-- no, who are we kidding. Not with this motive. Somebody's gonna die.]
no subject
She deflates a bit. ] Yeah, I know. I'd like to think no one'll fuck up again, but... Thinkin' that way hasn't helped so far.
no subject
Unfortunately, it hasn't... And this motive is perhaps the most dangerous one we've had so far. [He sighs.] But the more time that passes, the better we get to know one other. So, perhaps...that will eventually be our saving grace. So far, all of the victims have been those without any bonds to others here. And it's much easier to kill a stranger, than it is someone you care for.
[Though this is also kind of a depressing silver lining???]

[ Sighs PROBABLY... THERE'S ALWAYS SOME ASSHOLE...
Roxy's quiet for a moment, then suddenly gives Faize a hug. ]
We are totally bros and you shouldn't kill me, fyi.
no subject
I am...not sure what "fyi" means, but I have no intention of doing such a thing. To you or anyone else here. Worry not. [Is the hug over yet? He doesn't want to commit some sort of intergalactic offense by ending it too soon, but at the same time...he's pretty sure this is enough hugging.] Especially not for such an...uncertain motive.
[He glances over at the monitor, just in time to catch alt-Earth implode again. Sigh.] As much as I may wish to go back and change my actions, tampering with the past in such a way could spell disaster for my present and future.
no subject
For realsies. You can't just hit a reset button and-- [ pauses. scrunches nose. remembers that her and a goober back home did... that... like a few weeks ago... ] You usually can't just do that. Plus, does anyone really think these a-holes are gonna make good on shit like that?
[ Like... really. They're here to murder each other, THEY AREN'T GETTING PRIZES... ]
no subject
Usually? [Roxy, he's pretty sure that's not true. You can't ever do that.] But you raise another excellent point. It isn't as though our captors have given us much reason to trust them or their word. Surely...that much, everyone will see, even if they are desperate to change the past.
no subject
Looong story. Actually, no. Everyone died and so a guy I know had to use some shenanigans to fix shit, basically retconning the universe. [ Sh...rugs. ] Exactly. I know some people are hella desperate, but...
[ Shakes head. ]
They're just toyin' with us, like usual. We're rats in a maze and they keep throwin' us poison cheese to see what happens.
no subject
That's an...oddly apt description of our predicament.
no subject
[ Truly, things have gone off the rails. ]
Say... wanna play a game? [ here it comes, the hell everyone else is suffering in these threads. ]
no subject
no subject
[ Pulls out her pamphlet. ] Basically, I show you someone's profile and you tell me whether they're good looking or not.
[ run, free elf, run ]
no subject
That doesn't sound like much of a game.
no subject
[ Deflates. ]
Have you got any better games in mind?
no subject
[The greatest of all Earth sports: table tennis. Truly, the greatest thing that Earth gave to Eldar in exchange for their assistance with warp travel. That and coffee.]
But I suppose I can give your survey-game a try. [What could he possibly have to lose.] Though, am I to answer based solely on physical factors? Or am I to take personality into consideration?
no subject
[ really, faize. ]
Either one! Most people take personality into account, but whateves you want.
[ Excitedly flips to... Rhys! ] Attractive or no?
no subject
Yes, table tennis.
[He figured it was like...super popular on Earth? You guys play it all the time, right?? As for Rhys...]
... [Apparently he's gotta think about this one.] He is an unbelievable coward, but...I hesitate to say that he is entirely unattractive.
[Sorta good looking, definitely digs the sweet cyborg tech but god why are you such a coward.]
Though I certainly wouldn't become romantically involved with him.
no subject
[ No?? Of course the only sports Roxy likes are video games, so. ]
I'll take that as a hot.
[ Flips to... Lithuania! ] Hot or not?
no subject
[Maybe we'll get like a pool hall or something. Teach him all the bizarre Earth tabletop games.]
Lithuania is very attractive, in both appearance and personality.
[Even if he...still does not understand at all what the fuck a nation is.]
no subject
[ Or an arcade with an air hockey table! ]
Ok, next. [ Flips to... Vegeta! ] Hot or not?
no subject
Not. [NO HESITATION WHATSOEVER. APPARENTLY NOT ON TEAM DILF, THIS ONE. Whatever a dilf is.] Though his physical strength is impressive, I suppose.
[He has to say SOMETHING at least slightly nice, okay...]
