seven vices week 4

28 players remaining

monday - thursday

Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice.

"Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour."

That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present.

After hearing the motive, characters who choose to explore will find that the void around the town has retracted a bit, and there is now a police station to the far east of the chapel. On the chapel wall near the altar, black and white portraits of Youko, Zelos, and Morrigan have been hung up.

Anyone looking for them will find that Youko's pink shoes and the fragments of Zelos's crystal are now gone.

symbologic: and drink a gallon of coffee and drunkenly write my research paper. It'll be fine. (gaze ☄ I'm just gonna shower)

It...was obvious, yes. And while I cannot speak to the others, I have given you my reason as to why I voted for her. I could see how such a motive might affect her, given the letter Clover discovered. I could not see how it would affect you. My assumption was just as you claimed during the trial: that Morrigan was desperate to push the blame onto another.

[He is never trusting emotions again. A mistake.]

The idea of killing to improve one's chances is an idea I have understood from the beginning. It's the ultimate gamble, but a great "reward", does not come without stakes equally as great. I may disagree with such a course of action, myself, but I do understand the thought process behind it. And why one might be driven to take such a gamble.

What is it you plan to do, should you be able to cure yourself and make it to Morrigan's home?

[Buddy pauses, a little unsure for a moment, before she reaches into her poncho pocket and brings out a piece of paper, offering it to Faize to read.]

Morrigan left me a letter. She said she has a son, one she doesn't trust in the care of his father. I'm going to raise him myself.

[Faize takes the letter gingerly and reads it over. He barely knew Morrigan at all, but it would be a lie to say that he isn't a little moved by this. He hands it back once he's done, seeming oddly satisfied. Maybe even approving.]

While I cannot be pleased by your actions this past weekend, I am pleased to see that you have both taken responsibility them and found purpose. However...I trust that you will not hold the fact that her son will one day grow into a man against him. With good reason, you hate the men of Olathe, but surely...by now you have seen that the capacity for cruelty and kindness has little to do with one's gender, but rather the individual themselves.

[Zelos was apparently an ass and Youko was pure, he's not denying that, but can we acknowledge Kaguya for a second here? Because holy shit.]
