seven vices week 4

28 players remaining

monday - thursday

Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice.

"Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour."

That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present.

After hearing the motive, characters who choose to explore will find that the void around the town has retracted a bit, and there is now a police station to the far east of the chapel. On the chapel wall near the altar, black and white portraits of Youko, Zelos, and Morrigan have been hung up.

Anyone looking for them will find that Youko's pink shoes and the fragments of Zelos's crystal are now gone.

>Mingle?

This is Week 4's mingle log, covering Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. Investigations will go up on Friday.

More plot elements will be introduced this week. Mod comments will be occasionally distributed to open toplevels, accordingly.

[ And that perks his attention almost immediately. ]

...Hm? Interesting. First, did the school teacher say anything of note concerning the town or Miata herself?

The mayor is called Mayor Bačiulis, she hadn't heard of Miata. She said that times were hard, and that half her students were gone. [ He wishes Yukimi were here to give a proper report.]

[ Good luck him being able to pronounce that....... ]

I see. It sounds as if this town was suffering from some type of food shortage, and judging by that terminology, she could have implied that half of them died off from it.

That said... did Miata give an indication as to the number of ghosts located here or elaborate further on that matter in a different way?
okuri: (and sounded)

[ He definitely can't pronounce it right either, between his hearing and Japanese accent.]

Why food shortage? [ He agrees on her implication, however.]

No. But she said someone had saw her younger sister last week too.
dhaosu: (> deliberate)

I suppose it could also be monetary as well, but it is the first thing that came to mind at 'hard times'.

[ He crossed his arms. Well, Miata had a sister...at one point but now it was clear the kind of end her sister had met. ]

I wonder, if perhaps at some point the populace became desperate to the point where they started instituting these games of sorts, thinking more dead bodies meant more food or money go around.

Edita said that she was staying at the school more because of the crisis. [His thoughts go to the only thing he knows: war.]

She thought I knew what she was talking about, and before she could explain she vanished.
dhaosu: (> hm?)

[personal profile] dhaosu 2016-03-09 06:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I suppose it could be a conflict of some type as well.

[ War could make sense as a likely candidate as well, if not the most possible one now that he thinks about it. ]

It seems that some of them are unaware of whatever seems to be going on, if I presume correctly, regarding the situation with the kidnapping and the subsequent murders.
okuri: (like a snowflake)

[personal profile] okuri 2016-03-09 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
She thought I was a tourist. [ So she definitely didn't know.]
dhaosu: (> attempting to socialize)

[personal profile] dhaosu 2016-03-10 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
I see. Thank you for informing me of this... Yoite.

[ It serves as a good enough distraction. If he is attempting to think of clues or hints concerning their situation and the history behind it, then... ]

It has helped moreso now than I think it would have earlier.
okuri: (the stars)

[personal profile] okuri 2016-03-10 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
You're welcome. [ A beat.] Why's that?
dhaosu: (> is it too late?)

[personal profile] dhaosu 2016-03-10 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
The 'incentive', this week.

The information you gave assists in keeping myself focused, thinking upon our situation instead of... doing an alternative that would not be as preferable.
okuri: (beneath us)

[personal profile] okuri 2016-03-10 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
I'm sorry. [It's all he knows to say, to something like that.]

It's not my area of expertise, but I'll keep searching for information. [For not the first time, he wishes that he had Yukimi here for information gathering.]
dhaosu: (> calm)

[personal profile] dhaosu 2016-03-10 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
It is no fault of your own.

However, I shall look for information as well.

...In the meantime, I do not suppose this week has been too difficult for you?

[ It doesn't seem like it. But he figures it's the least he can do in return to ask. ]
okuri: (Twelve o’clock)

[personal profile] okuri 2016-03-10 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
[ A nod.] I don't regret anything I've done, or any choice I've made. [ The path he walked he had created himself.

On the other hand, if it was about changing the past in which he had no control over, that would be a different story entirely.]
dhaosu: (...)

[personal profile] dhaosu 2016-03-10 01:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Then, that is good.

[ He wouldn't want the other to have been struggling like he had. Yoite seemed to have enough on his plate as it is. ]
