week 4
![]() 28 players remaining ♫ monday - thursday Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice. "Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour." That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present. After hearing the motive, characters who choose to explore will find that the void around the town has retracted a bit, and there is now a police station to the far east of the chapel. On the chapel wall near the altar, black and white portraits of Youko, Zelos, and Morrigan have been hung up. Anyone looking for them will find that Youko's pink shoes and the fragments of Zelos's crystal are now gone. >Mingle? This is Week 4's mingle log, covering Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. Investigations will go up on Friday. When posting toplevels, specify the time and location. If you plan on having any private conversations between characters, remember to let us know in the post linked below. More plot elements will be introduced this week. Mod comments will be occasionally distributed to open toplevels, accordingly. setting rulebook profiles private conversations |

[His weak heart can't handle that...
He'll set the can on the counter though, and rummage around for a knife.]

So why are you afraid of them? Some sort of childhood trauma? Allergies? Or is it just a matter of not having very good taste?
[Asking the important questions.]

[Little amnesiac things.
Also, Gilbert's doing a pretty good job with the knife and can here, despite all odds! It looks like he'll actually manage it without incident.]

[It's probably for the better she doesn't, though, because that hypnosis is very specifically used to drudge up traumatic memories in particular.]
Don't cut yourself.
[This is Satori-speak for "Be careful."]

Are there more here? [HIS PEOPLE. But at the reminder-- he refocuses on the can, brow furrowed.]
I won't. [And lo, he doesn't! He carefully works the blade around the can's edge, and once it's all cut through, he lifts the top off my sliding the knife below it.] —There.

[Isn't it nice that the weenies have another thing in common...
Satori takes the can, looks at it, and contemplates the contents.]
...I'm not sure what I was expecting.
no subject
[Weenie hut jr. members gotta stick together...
But he's not entirely sure what he had expected either, honestly. It looks... Well. It looks like something someone would feed to a cat.]
...It smells a little strange.
[Baby Victorian's First Time Smelling Canned Food.]

[Only the best for Edgelord Satori's game of Neko Atsume.]
...On the other hand, it seems a bit of a waste to not do something with it. I suppose I could throw it into the fire.
[It's what Orin would want.]
no subject
[SATORI!! He seems to be contemplating Actual Courses Of Action though, since honestly, not even he knows what to do with this nonsense.]
It could probably be baked into something else and it would be harder to tell that it came from a can, then.
no subject
[That explains everything, right.]
Baking seems like it might be a good idea, but I've never done it before.

I'm not even sure if this is real fish... [He's concerned.] I know how to cook, so I could see what I can do with it, if you wouldn't mind giving the can to me.
no subject
[There you go, Gilbert, a creepy cat story to help your phobia.
She shuffles a little when he offers to bake for her, though.]
...I wouldn't mind, but there's nothing I can do for you in return.
no subject
It's fine. It would be better than burning it. [No dead fish for the dead cat gods.]
I don't mind doing it for nothing in return, either. I like cooking and baking, so... [HE WILL DO THE THING even if it's for cats.]
