seven vices week 4

28 players remaining

monday - thursday

Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice.

"Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour."

That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present.

After hearing the motive, characters who choose to explore will find that the void around the town has retracted a bit, and there is now a police station to the far east of the chapel. On the chapel wall near the altar, black and white portraits of Youko, Zelos, and Morrigan have been hung up.

Anyone looking for them will find that Youko's pink shoes and the fragments of Zelos's crystal are now gone.

>Mingle?

This is Week 4's mingle log, covering Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. Investigations will go up on Friday.

When posting toplevels, specify the time and location. If you plan on having any private conversations between characters, remember to let us know in the post linked below.

More plot elements will be introduced this week. Mod comments will be occasionally distributed to open toplevels, accordingly.

symbologic: for a cooking show and then proceeded to throw cookies at people. (unsure ☄ Apparently I had an idea for a)

[AH. SO THAT ACTUALLY WAS THE REASON. He puts his hands up defensively.]

I don't mean to sound ungrateful! But I thought, perhaps, since I was not the only one to investigate the bodies... [Ah. So that's who he wants to give it to.] However...I suppose the answer is "no" then?

[Jeez, clearly. Who spit in your oatmeal, Miata?]

Alright. Then...I suppose there is little sense in letting it go to waste. [And how many people would wring his neck for doing that? He pulls his pendant out from under his sweater vest and holds it out.] There is...another matter I have been meaning to discuss with you as well, if that's alright.
symbologic: we convinced you that the moon is a planet (gaze ☄ For the second time this year)

[Look, he's sorry he is a pure-hearted nerd with too much compassion for a single human body to contain. He'll try to keep it to himself from now on!]

Is this town...truly as abandoned as it seems? Though I know not the reason, everything I see here indicates that no one has lived here in quite some time. However...I met your younger sister last week. And I couldn't help but notice certain...inconsistencies in her statements.
symbologic: that I laminated my history notes so I can study in the shower. (neutral ☄ I just wanted to let you know)

[Faize shakes his head.]

I assure you, I would never joke about such a thing. [Look at him, Miata, does he look like the joking type to you?] Telling you her name is Marta will do little to prove it, I'm sure, since her name was on a roster inside the school but... She calls you "Mimi", does she not? Is that enough to prove it to you?
symbologic: with my computer and I had googled "how to put out a fire." I am so scared to turn around. (shock ☄ I woke up facing the corner)

[Faize's eyes go wide. WELL SHIT.]

My apologies. I did not realize, for she seemed as alive as you or I. [Save for the part where she just...vanished. But there could have been other explanations for that!] But I...suppose that would explain the discrepancies. She seemed to be under the impression that she was late to school.
symbologic: that you spelled "drunken" wrong but "pterodactyl" right. (neutral ☄ I find it simply astounding)

...what exactly happened to this town? I thought, perhaps, it had merely been abandoned but this makes it sounds as though...something much more unfortunate transpired here.
