seven vices week 4 28 players remaining ♫ monday - thursday Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice. "Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour." That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present. After hearing the motive, characters who choose to explore will find that the void around the town has retracted a bit, and there is now a police station to the far east of the chapel. On the chapel wall near the altar, black and white portraits of Youko, Zelos, and Morrigan have been hung up. Anyone looking for them will find that Youko's pink shoes and the fragments of Zelos's crystal are now gone. >Mingle? This is Week 4's mingle log, covering Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. Satori reaches down to pet the dog. This is what she's here for. To be an ass to people and extremely nice to animals.]

[ AWWWWW YIIS HUMANS ARE GREAT, OR SO THIS DOG THINKS

He flops on his back for her, much like the Annoying Dog did. Truly Satori's animal whispering is coming in handy.

...but as he does that she will also notice there's a collar with tags around his neck. ]

[In the most soothing, kind voice she has ever used her entire stay:]

Okay, good dog. Just stay like this and let me see what's on your collar...

[Keeping one hand on his belly to rub it, she reaches for the tags with the other, so that she can try to read them.]

[ Ghost Dog does not seem to mind, and is perfectly willing to let her examine them. Score.

The first seems to be a microchip ID tag. There's a phone-number listed and a series of numbers and letters, along with a tiny picture of a bone.

The second has some more interesting information. On the front: ]

If so, Satori will continue patting the dog with one hand, and reach into her shirt with the other to remove the rough draft she's working on. The plan is to write the information on the second tag on the last page of the book, because it's a whole lotta numbers that she's not sure she'll be able to remember later.]

Good, good...stay, at least until I'm finished with this. All right...? What a good dog...

Jurgis complies, content to be petted even if it's with one hand. INFORMATION GATHER, SUCCESSFUL. ]

[With the book safely secured on her person again, Satori glances around, looking for an owner...is there anyone or anything nearby that would indicate someone who has lost a dog?]

[ No one and nothing.

Jurgis whines, and hops back onto his feet. ]

[unpleasantries]

[Her third eye follows him instinctively, even though it's been so long since it picked anything up.]

Is something wrong?

[She knows the dog probably can't understand speech - nothing about it indicates that it's a youkai - but the whine has her concerned.]

[ Jurgis barks, and begins trotting towards the fire pit.

..except, he keeps going, and keeps going, until he starts going West, heading towards the void. ]
