seven vices week 4 28 players remaining ♫ monday - thursday Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice. "Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour." That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present. After hearing the motive, characters who choose to explore will find that the void around the town has retracted a bit, and there is now a police station to the far east of the chapel. On the chapel wall near the altar, black and white portraits of Youko, Zelos, and Morrigan have been hung up. Anyone looking for them will find that Youko's pink shoes and the fragments of Zelos's crystal are now gone. >Mingle? This is Week 4's mingle log, covering Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. [Satori has been so deprived of animal contact she will pet this dog for the rest of her stay in Lebensbaum if she has the opportunity. Don't worry, dog, the pets are not stopping any time soon.]

[Theoretically there is nothing stopping her from taking the dog and running, and she does briefly consider this.

...But she decides against it, because it belongs to someone else. She lets the dog sit on her lap, ANYTHING FOR DOG.]

What a good dog you are! You're very friendly.

[the annoying dog vibrates in place. he is so very happy.

...he is also making an odd clinking noise every time he vibrates.]

[That's weird. Still petting the dog with one hand, she starts randomly patting him in various places to see if she can determine the source of the clinking...a collar, maybe? Something stuck in his tail???]

[somewhere in his fluffy, fluffy fur, there is something hard and vaguely plate-shaped. the dog doesn't seem to notice, too busy appreciating pets. in fact, it seems to be falling asleep.]

[Satori reaches for the...plate? She doesn't mind that the dog is sleeping, but she has to get to the bottom of this mystery.]

[congrats! satori's investigation has found one (1) dirty plate. but the dog's soft snoring doesn't hide that the clinking is still happening. could there be... more dishes??]

[This dog is more powerful than she expected...she's just going to keep looking for more dishes. This is a VERY IMPORTANT TASK.]

[in the dog's fur is a dirty glass, a dirty bowl and some dirty cutlery. that seems to be all there is though. the clinking has stopped.

somehow, this awakens the dog who looks at the dirty dishes. he is embarrassed. he has been caught with unwashed dishes.

the dog runs away, leaving the dirty dishes behind.]

She's just gonna leave these dishes here and leave, then.]

[from behind, as she is leaving, a skeleton pipes up:]

wow. you really like dogs, huh.

[HOW MUCH HAS HE SEEN...]

I...I guess I sort of like dogs.

[No sense in protesting too much, "collecting animals" is listed as a skill on her profile...but she's still gonna downplay it as best she can.]

just sorta, huh? guess that means you don't wanna know how to call him back.

[Satori sounds EXTREMELY EAGER, despite herself. She's awful at this.]

sure. it's like with any other dog. you just gotta give him something he ruffs. [WINKS] besides, i gotta bring him back. he's not doin' his job.

[sans points to the dogchiatrist sign. is that... supposed to mean the dog is a real psychiatrist??]

[Satori nods. She gave all her pets jobs too, so this makes probably more sense than it should.]

Is he still getting accustomed to his work? Positive reinforcement is my method of choice, but if he routinely runs off like that, perhaps some scolding wouldn't be out of the question.

trust me, scolding that one doesn't work. my bro spends all of his time doin' it. he only works on incentive.

Incentive...? Well, he...

[She seems embarrassed all of a sudden.]

...He seemed to like being petted, so I could be persuaded to do that, if it would help.

[it's not even sans's dog, but will he admit to it. nah. he just shrugs at her.]

don't worry about it, being pet is part of his job description. nah, he's got only two things that'd make him show up.
