seven vices week 4 28 players remaining ♫ monday - thursday Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice. "Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour." That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present. After hearing the motive, characters who choose to explore will find that the void around the town has retracted a bit, and there is now a police station to the far east of the chapel. On the chapel wall near the altar, black and white portraits of Youko, Zelos, and Morrigan have been hung up. Anyone looking for them will find that Youko's pink shoes and the fragments of Zelos's crystal are now gone. >Mingle? This is Week 4's mingle log, covering Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. It's nice that you think you're doing something noble, I guess. I won't be taking you up on your offer, but it'll be interesting to see what happens.

[She kind of respects Buddy for throwing someone under the bus so hard?? So Buddy gets the absolute minimum amount of shit from Satori. More than zero, but less than usual.]

It's not really about nobility. I don't care about that. It's about preservation. I need to keep the women here as safe as possible - it's my duty as the last of my kind.

[Satori hides a smirk behind her sleeve at the words "safe as possible," but she's already given Buddy shit for it, so she'll leave it at that.]

Duty to the dead, then...well, I guess I can understand that. Is it humans who are dying, or just the women?

Both. In my homeland, I am the last woman alive. Humanity will one day die out unless I reproduce.

It seems like you've got a difficult position in life.

[Being the last human woman means everyone will be looking to her, after all - trying to force her to reproduce. It's not a situation Satori envies.]

I don't particularly care about the affairs of humans, but are you really okay with letting your species die?

[This is a really interesting moral dilemma, as far as Satori's concerned, one that she wishes she could see the inner workings of. So she'll just have to ask nosy questions and hope she gets answers.]

My whole life, I was sheltered from the rest of my homeland because my caretaker Brad believed the world would try to take advantage of me. I resented him for making that choice for me...but in hindsight, I can't blame him entirely.

[In the end, she can't ever forgive Brad for depriving her of a choice. She can, at the least, understand what made him so forceful about keeping her sheltered.]

If humanity is to live, I want it to be under my rule. I want to be the savior of the world. I think that's only fair if I'm the last woman alive.

Well, if you're prepared for the responsibility of ruling, then I don't see an issue with that. But it's a lot of work, being the boss. You'll have to make sure everyone is too afraid of you to move against you, and keep the people that you trust close.

[This is the worst advice ever, but it's how things worked out back home.........]

At the very least, you've proven that you can make difficult decisions, and that's worth something.

I'm good with making people afraid.

[Especially when she goes on a rampage and keeps killing every man in sight.]

But there's no one I really trust. People are often eager to betray I find.

[Only Brad and Morrigan were ever really on her side, but Brad was...a mess of complications.]

People aren't any good, are they? You don't have to be a mind-reader to see that...thought it certainly sheds more light on how awful they really are.

...Are there any animals left in your world? It might do you some good to find some young ones and raise them. They're much more loyal than anyone I've ever found.

Only deer and crows. Some dogs too. [She shrugs.] An animal army wouldn't be so bad. Animals are certainly smarter than men and that's a scientific fact.
