seven vices week 4 28 players remaining ♫ monday - thursday Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice. "Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour." That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present. After hearing the motive, characters who choose to explore will find that the void around the town has retracted a bit, and there is now a police station to the far east of the chapel. On the chapel wall near the altar, black and white portraits of Youko, Zelos, and Morrigan have been hung up. Anyone looking for them will find that Youko's pink shoes and the fragments of Zelos's crystal are now gone. >Mingle? This is Week 4's mingle log, covering Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. If I can save another woman, for the ones I failed to save, then it'll be worth it. I don't even mind all the women sleeping in my room while I guard the door.

[Lithuania is trying to imagine Buddy guarding a whole horde of women, like a very tiny dragon with an eyepatch.] Just make sure you don't overexert yourself. And, ah, make sure Miata has blessed your pendant.

She already has. And I don't mind - if this game is fair, then my position is secure. All of you are still in grave danger.

You're not wrong. Just make sure to keep an eye out for any signs things might become unfair. [...Wait. Should she be using a phrase like that in front of a girl with one eye?] I--I mean. Keep watch. Not--not keep an eye out, because--ah. I apologize.

[She tilts her head, not honestly catching Lithuania's mistake until she began rambling about it.]

...I'll be sure to do so. [Not even the slightest bit ruffled.] If you see anything suspicious, let me know too. We should work together as much as possible.

["We" being...the women...]

[Oh, good, Buddy doesn't seem horribly offended.] You mean the women, yes? [Judging by subtle context clues like women being underlined on that note]

Absolutely. I don't care about any of the men as much.

Why is that? [She's genuinely curious.]

Men have done nothing but hurt me my whole life. They never let me have a choice of what I want with my life, and when I tried to make that choice they did everything they could do stop me.

I'm the last woman of my homeland Olathe. Maybe the last woman alive. All of the men want me to be their savior, while treating me as a prize in the same stroke.

[...Okay, that's a pretty justifiable reason, especially for someone so young. And, while Lithuania doesn't suffer from nearly so extreme a case, she can understand the frustration in decisions being taken from you and the desire of others to lock you away in some sort of tower, metaphorical or literal.]

Your homeland sounds like a difficult place. Have you met other women at all before you arrived here? [The way she speaks, it's obvious her mother must be dead for Buddy to say she may be the last woman alive.]

None at all. That's why I was so surprised when I came here - I had never seen other women before.

That's when I knew I had to keep you all safe. So far I've failed at that, but now I have more power to do so.
