week 4
![]() 28 players remaining ♫ monday - thursday Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice. "Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour." That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present. After hearing the motive, characters who choose to explore will find that the void around the town has retracted a bit, and there is now a police station to the far east of the chapel. On the chapel wall near the altar, black and white portraits of Youko, Zelos, and Morrigan have been hung up. Anyone looking for them will find that Youko's pink shoes and the fragments of Zelos's crystal are now gone. >Mingle? This is Week 4's mingle log, covering Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. Investigations will go up on Friday. When posting toplevels, specify the time and location. If you plan on having any private conversations between characters, remember to let us know in the post linked below. More plot elements will be introduced this week. Mod comments will be occasionally distributed to open toplevels, accordingly. setting rulebook profiles private conversations |

Yeah? Cool. Now you're worse because you let Morrigan take the fall for you. For what you did! And you're flaunting it.
[ he's still extremely upset about this, okay. ]

I never forced Morrigan into being my accomplice, and I told her she could rat me out at any time if she felt her life was in danger. She made her choice in the end and everyone else made theirs. If you want to be angry, look at the people who voted for her instead of me.
no subject
Still threw her under the bus. If you talked to her as much as it seemed like you did, wouldn't you know she wouldn't rat you out? She was as honest as she could be, I think. You weren't. You let her die, saved your own skin.
[ ugh. ]
I'm mad at everyone. Including you. Morrigan deserved better.

A coward like you has no place to talk to me like that! I came to her on Tuesday and she could have told anyone about what would happen if she wanted to! She knew the risks and she took it and she did it because she was brave. Stronger than all of you - stronger than me!
[And Morrigan did it for her. Did it to help her survive. It's more than Buddy could ever ask for.]
I'll accept what I did. I'll have to live with Morrigan sacrificing herself for me for the rest of my life, just like I have to live with my whole family dying to protect me!
But you don't get to act so high and mighty. Not you, you fucking coward of a man!
no subject
Oh! Okay! That makes so much more sense now. This is a thing you do, yeah? You let people die for you. Wah, wah, my family died to protect me. Get over it. No one cares. You just let someone else die to protect you. Again. Good fucking job, kiddo!
[ he runs a hand through his hair, frustrated and angry. this is all bullshit. ]
I don't care if I'm a coward, at least I don't leave a pile of corpses behind me. This just proves it, honestly. Who would have been more useful to have around in a game where people are forced to kill each other? Morrigan. She was pragmatic, she was smart, she had fucking sense. Instead we get some useless brat with a freaky fixation on women who won't lift a god damn hand to help anyone else unless it saves herself.
[ he jabs a finger at the poster then. ]
This? Empty fucking words that won't benefit anyone. You got off scot-free, you might as well just shut up and leave the rest of us alone.

[She steps toward him, jabbing a finger hard right at his stomach area.]
Men are monsters who destroyed the world. In my homeland, there are no women, humanity is doomed to extinction, and what has come of it? Corpses litter the wasteland! Gangs fight for power! Men will kill for status, for a meal, for perverse pleasure! And I was sheltered from it all because my dad knew what the world would do to me if I was ever exposed to it! He knew I would become a prize to be fought over, unless I was ready to fight back for my freedom!
And he was right! Right about everything!
But I never asked Morrigan to die for me. I told her she could expose herself if she felt her life was in danger and she did, but all of you still voted for her! And you think you get to act all high and mighty because you were one of the few who didn't? You, the most cowardly person here, who doesn't contribute anything worthwhile and vomits at the mere sight of a corpse?! You think you have any right to talk to me like this?
[And then she makes a gargled choking sound behind a closed mouth and when it's done - she spits right toward Rhys' face.]
Fuck. You.
I hope you die here and I hope it's painful you piece of shit.
no subject
Did you just spit on me? You brat!
[ he's so freggin' sick of this place and buddy is just another reason why. ]
I don't care! I don't care about your tragic backstory, kid. Good for you, where you come from is terrible. That's pretty much the same for every other single person here! You still let it take Morrigan's life. Hah, the way you talk about it, if you weren't so concerned about how terrible your life is, maybe Morrigan would still be here, huh?
[ the last bit just makes him frown and while he doesn't argue against the vomiting or anything else, he's less heated when he replies next. he sneers as he replies, low and mean instead. ]
Yeah? Well, looks like you won't. You're just going to have to live with what you've done. Live with the fact that you let someone else die for you again just because you were too much of a snake to fess up. An innocent woman too, for all your talk of how terrible men are. That seems like way worse punishment to me, bro.
no subject
[And with that, she'll take a very quick swipe at Rhys with her finger nails, hoping to cut his face up with a sucker punch hit.]
no subject
Stop it! Stop it! Are you seriously coming off your victory over having killed someone -- two people even! -- by attacking me? You really are insane!
no subject
[And she'll keep trying to get a hit in, even jumping up toward him - Rhys has unleashed a goddamn monster.]
no subject
Apparently, that I'm not going to fight you. Honestly. Hitting me isn't going to make you feel any better about sending someone to her death!
no subject
no subject
That's even worse. Stop -- fucking -- hitting me -- you crazy death child!
[ this is the point though where rhys is going to trip on his scramble backwards and hit the floor, head first. his forehead takes the beating and he lets out a yelp, grabbing at the spot of pain with a hand and immediately curling in towards his body in a terrible effort to block buddy's attacks (or at least send them for his back and legs). seriously, he's not going to fight back. ]
-- Get away from me!
