week 4
![]() 28 players remaining ♫ monday - thursday Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice. "Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour." That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present. After hearing the motive, characters who choose to explore will find that the void around the town has retracted a bit, and there is now a police station to the far east of the chapel. On the chapel wall near the altar, black and white portraits of Youko, Zelos, and Morrigan have been hung up. Anyone looking for them will find that Youko's pink shoes and the fragments of Zelos's crystal are now gone. >Mingle? This is Week 4's mingle log, covering Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. Investigations will go up on Friday. When posting toplevels, specify the time and location. If you plan on having any private conversations between characters, remember to let us know in the post linked below. More plot elements will be introduced this week. Mod comments will be occasionally distributed to open toplevels, accordingly. setting rulebook profiles private conversations |
A Wednesday Thing
It rings for 5 full minutes, before they all shut off once more.
Miata is nowhere to be found during this. ]

Is something happening?

[Hinata's covering one of his ears with a wince as he moves toward her. If anyone might know, Lithuania or Poland seem the type.]

Who would be even air raiding this place? Gaysbaum, the next town over where everyone's assigned virtues instead of sins?

[HE'S TOO VICTORIAN FOR THIS THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE PLANES YET.]

[what even is this?? the box is making horrible alarm noises and it's early in the morning and she doesn't need this right now.]

[So says Vegeta, standing nearby and staring directly up.]
Different civilizations use different means, but it amounts to the same thing. "Pay attention, you're about to die."
[Vegeta's more used to being on the other side of this scenario.]
no subject
[What are planes??
But now she is looking towards the sky in worry as well.]
no subject
[Looks over at her.] Your people haven't developed the technology for flight yet? [The first thing any civilization does with something like that is attack someone, after all, so they probably haven't.]

It could be an alarm for anything, really. Although it doesn't seem like anything is happening...
[ ??? what is going on in murder town.]
no subject
But after Vegeta helpfully explains:]
We don't have anything like this in my world at all... [Things attacking from the sky?? Well-- That does happen sometimes BUT NOT PLANES.]
no subject
Same here... I haven't even seen these "tvs" before. I don't really see the point to them either.
[all they do is create static and alarms. a bell works JUST FINE FOR THAT.]
