seven vices case 1 trial, day 2 ♫ sunday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. Youkai are...spirits, of a sort. Otherwordly creatures with supernatural powers. There are all kinds of them - you look like a certain kind of youkai, yourself, so I had assumed you were one too.

I'm a Chain. It sounds similar, but Chains normally can't exist outside of the Abyss without consuming humans for energy.

There's a few exceptions to that.

Are you one of the exceptions, or have you been made an exception by whatever force it was that brought us here?

I think I may be an exception, since the Intention of the Abyss resurrected me herself. I don't have much reason to leave the Abyss, but I never had interest in eating when I did.

...Are those ears on your head because you're a cat, or are they just a...decoration?

[She misses her own cat...she has to ask.]

I was a cat. I belonged to the Intention of the Abyss and Alice, but the Intention loved me the most. When I was killed the Intention took my soul and gave me a human body because I always wanted to be a human too. I'm still a cat, so I'm not completely human in form.

I need to get home so I can go back to protecting the Intention.

[He'll even twitch his ears and his tail for her. See? Real! To boot his arms are strangely long and his fingers each are tipped with long steel-like claws.]

[She sounds disappointed. Satori's life is an IRL game of Neko Atsume, this is like a rare cat visiting but never being able to snap a photo...]

She hates being lonely, and she had to be all alone for so long.

I can't believe they made me leave her.

I will make them pay for it. You can rest assured. I do not take kindly to people who torment animals like this.

It's okay. [A bit of a blush. He... wouldn't be offended if she gave him a bit of a pet... though it would make him rather embarrassed to have that happen in front of everyone.]
