week 1 - trial; day 2

seven vices case 1 trial, day 2 ♫ sunday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. Okay, so what would the killer gain by planting cough drops? [ That just seems like the logical conclusion if they weren't damaged. ] It might point to the dude who coughs a lot, but, like, the killer would have to know that beforehand.

Maybe he went to get them for someone as a surprise. ( Who? Maybe Mr. Coughing Fit Yoite thre. ) But he... never made it back because he ran into the killler.

But if there was a struggle, which seems pretty likely, why aren't the cough drops all messed up? That's what the Virgin Islands was saying.

Although she's not even from a real place either so who knows.

I'm kind of getting sick of these fake people. They think they're so special being mutants and now they're murdering people by flying? Like, get over yourselves.

The only thing I can think of is that they wanted us to believe he was sick.

By planting totally unused cough drops? Anyone who would have spoken to him that day would have known he wasn't.

I already said it. I don't know coughing-dude, but if I had and saw him talking to dead-dude, I might plant something to make people think they were doing something together. Like at the clinic. [ But that's a lot of assumptions so she shrugs. ] I dunno, man, I hate murder mysteries.

'Tis possible Yoite was the one, in fact, who acquired the cough drops. Perhaps he witnessed the beginnings of the murder, and, in an attempt to throw off any potential suspicion, placed the cough drops in the boy's pockets. There is also the possibility of Yoite being an accessory to the murder; we cannot discount this, as any accomplices are placed in the pool of suspects, however serendipitous or unwilling they may have been. Yoite's participation could explain Hanyuu's self-professed lack of strength, as well, but his presence does not align well with the nature of the footprints.
