week 1 - trial; day 2

seven vices case 1 trial, day 2 ♫ sunday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. Hanyuu specifically said she isn't strong, so she would have trouble carrying a body.

It's possible for her to be acting. I could pretend to be unable to do something if I wanted. I'm not saying this is a guarantee of her guilt, I'm just saying we shouldn't dismiss her solely on things like that.

Indeed... and we still haven't found out about that scrap of fabric, have we? As one of the people who searched her room, we couldn't find anything like it.

She did, but only after a murder had already occurred. We have no way of knowing if she was holding back. Unless, perhaps, somebody saw her make use of her abilities at some point before Takao's murder.

Ah, is that what you mean. If she's strong enough to actually carry him a fair distance but not strong enough to manage without him being drugged, perhaps.

Exactly. If he was fighting back a lot then she would not be able to do it. Would Kaguya need to drug him to carry him?

Why not a bit of a test? We do have someone that I believe is rather close in frame to our victim, yes?

All our culprits could pick the young man up, or at least attempt it. If they're naturally strong, then faking weakness seems like quite a difficult thing to do. At least, in my opinion.

This is a good idea. Not just pick him up, but fly with him some too. Because carrying someone while flying is different than just liftin' them straight up, while you're still standing.

That's the idea! It very well may be a waste, I admit... But considering our dilemma, it may be worth that too.

If she was strong enough to carry a body then there wouldn't be partially made foot prints, and she would have been able to just fly him to the roof with ease.
